Hey. I'm on my laptop right now, but I forgot my password to my windows vista computer, I NEVER log off, and I had to shut it down. I didn't even know I had a password.

If someone else has an administrator account on the computer, they can fix that problem. But if your alone, the only thing that you can do is restore Vista.

Try a blank password or try the word password.

Other than that you may have to take it to a computer tech who has the tools to override your password.

If you do have a computer tech override your password, change it and write it down somewhere safe.

Good Luck

........I'm guessing your a windows noob. It would be easy for people like me to log in without the password. What you should just do is reinstall vista....
