A steel ball is 4.000cm in diameter at 28C. A brass ring has an interior diameter of 2.992cm at 30C. At what common temperature will the ball just slide through the ring?

You didn't provide the thermal expansion coefficients and I'm not going to look them up for you. In any case, it's going to be an extremely high temperature (high enough to blow the ball vapor through the ring vapor), unless you meant 3.992 not 2.992.
