Pregnancy will definitly do that to you. I was that way with all 3 of my pregnancies. Just make sure she get lots of water and is taking her vitamins. Next time she goes back to the Dr, tell them to check her iron. Pregnancy can also cause you to have an iron deficiency or better known as anemia. For the nausea, saltine crackers are always good. If it gets really bad, the Dr. can prescribe her some pills for that.

The hormone changes that occur in early pregnancy can really throw a woman for a loop. If she is having persistant nausea, she should try nibbling a few dry crackers in the morning before she ever gets out of bed. Sometimes this will help in settling the stomach. She should be taking ice chips or ice chips with a little sprite poured over it. Take only a spoonful at a time. If she is getting dehydrated she needs to contact her OB/Gyn for advice. The exhaustion that accompanies early pregnancy usually passes ofter the first 6 -8 weeks. be sure she has been checked for anemia and that she is trying to take her prenatal vitamins for her sake as well as the babies. Every pregnancy is different, even for the same woman. You will have to step up and give her the extra care and nurturing that she will need to get through this hard part of the pregnancy. If she is appearing to become listless or is repeatedly vomiting, please call her doctor right away as some women do require I.V. fluids before they settle down.

Get her to go to the doctors to do a blood test. I was very tired and exhausted with my first and found out that it was because I was anaemic (low iron). If she isn't taking pregnancy vitamins, that's a good start (that's how I got some of my energy back).
Morning sickness is very common, she should try to have 5 small meals throughout the day as they say this is a way to stop the morning sickness. Yes she should be eating but alot of people cant do much eating throughout the first trimester.
Rest assure this normally only stays this bad for the first trimester (12-13weeks), after that it does generally get better.
I think its best to make an appt with your GP and take her their, atleast then you can ask the questions that are concerning you

Pregnancy will do that to you, just hang in there things will eventually get better. Alot of women don't eat very much in the first 3 months which is totally normal. Most women end up losing a couple of pounds

Being physically tired is very common during the first trimester of pregnancy; however, the exhaustion factor and lack of eating is cause for concern and go hand-in-hand. Please make sure your wife gets to the doctor to let him know of her disinterest in eating. She is disinterested, or is she so sick to her stomach most times, she can't hold anything down?
If your wife was 'heavy' when she got pregnant, it is also fairly common to lose weight during pregnancy, but in either regard, please take her to the doctor and ask the questions you need to to ensure you have a healthy wife and child.
Good luck to you.

What does her doctor say...yes being exhausted is part of this pregrancy...eating- this is something she should discuss with the doctor...I was very sick with my first pregrancy. live on crackers, peanut butter, ginger ale and ice cream... she will be tired, I imagine, but she needs to talk to the doctor and if you liked, I would imagine you could go with her on a office visit, if she and the doctor did not mind...and then you would be reassured and not worry so much.
Hope you both have a healthy baby!

she needs to be eating something if she has to have her ask her doctor if she/he can give her something for the nausea. but everything she is feeling...is very normal there is nothing wrong with her she is just pregnant and unfortuniately it takes everything out of you especially if this is the first pregnancy. but she needs to be eating something sometimes when you eat the nausea goes somewhat away...its not fun but it can help her if she's willing to do it. good luck & congrats!!

Very normal. Her hormones are all out of wack. Her body just doesn't seem to be dealing very well. Just help her out as much as you can. Encourage her to stay active, because if she doesn't stay a little bit active at least, it'll be more difficult on her.
Goodluck!
