Tiger woods, Lewis Hamilton, The Williams sisters, all have raised the bar in their chosen sports. Golf, Motor Racing and Tennis are all sports traditionally the domiane of white middle class people. So why are they being dominated by black stars right now? I'm thrilled that they are. It shows real grit and detirmination to succeed.

If you must negotiate transition from one culture to another, can you still respect traditional values? Many have memories of being teased as kids, if they had an unusual name, a person with an "unamerican" name, is bound to have some additional struggles.
Is it possible for somebody from another country, to take on a (american) new identity, in order to fit in with a "different" society?
What are the differences in how we react to foreign names, from regular "common" ones?, would a name change cause dramatically altered treatment? Generally speaking, how do people respond when confronted with a name that is not familiar?, are cultural assumptions made- based on your name, language, speaking & pronounciation?.
What would be the result on the foreigners original sense of self?, would they still be able to preserve it after this name change?

I know it sounds like gibberish, but it's part of an assignment for a class, so serious responses (or not so serious) would be appreciated.
Thanks.

aww I knew the answer to the ss ss you can't get both but had to confirm that one!! someone else was saying you could and I said you can't! thankx!

second question!

that I don't have answer to for sure!

57 year lady becomes disabled! she applies and she is receiving ssdisability benefits and when she turns 62 years old!(or age she wants to claim retirement), should she apply for ss retirement or does social security do it for her? do her benefits change? or they stay the same? (of course meaning it would be one benefit but now a ss and not a disability benefit)
I think they stay the same but im not sure!

Ok so I am getting married at the end of next year and my fiance and I have decided to start planning. First off, of course, we decide who is going to be in our wedding. He has his guys picked out, but I am having an issue. He has 3 sisters that I do get along with very well but we are not "best" friends, and I don't know if it's wrong to not have them as bridesmaids? I have 2 best friends picked out for sure, so now I gotta pick either his 3 sisters or my 3 cousins which I am pretty close to. My Mom tells me to have who I want because it is my wedding, but I don't want any hard feelings with my fiance's sisters in any way and they are the type that may get pissy if I don't have them in it...my fiance's brother got married a couple of months ago and his wife had the 3 sisters in their wedding so it almost makes me feel like I have to have them in my wedding. Is it almost tradition nowadays to have your future sister-in-laws in the wedding? His sisters or my cousins...I need advice!!

I am sure this has been asked but I can't find it. Why did Hendrick not use Budwieser? Jr. has such great rappor with them. I would think that would be more money for him then what Pepsico can bring. I don't really know though.

Well Jesus said (John 17:3) 3 This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.

(Philippians 1:9) . . . And this is what I continue praying, that YOUR love may abound yet more and more with ACCURATE KNOWLEDGE and full discernment. . .
(1 Corinthians 10:15) I speak as to men with discernment; judge for yourselves what I say.

(Hebrews 5:14) But solid food belongs to MATURE people, to those who through use have their perceptive powers trained to distinguish both right and wrong. not a HEART CONDITION
(Jeremiah 17:9) 9 “The heart is more treacherous than anything else and is desperate. Who can know it?

(Romans 3:20) . . .Therefore by works of law no flesh will be declared righteous before him, for by law is the ACCIRATE KNOWLEDGE OF SIN

I had a heated debate with a co-worker,who insisted the founding fathers were very religious, and wanted all Americans to 'worship Jesus'. I think they wanted a clear seperation of church and state. Is there any written proof that the founding fathers wanted america to be a nation that required its citizens to be Christians?
