I hate to be negative but, his aeroplane had a range of at least 300 miles, that means he could be anywhere in an area of at least a quarter of a million square square miles, and this is some of the most hostile countryside the world has to offer.

If the military with the hardware available to them can't find him what chance does an individual have ? unless you know something the rest of the world dosn't, If you have then pass it to your local police. They will know to deal with it.

Yeah I had a quick look on the Google Earth with the new images you can download for that area. (Amazon Mechanical Turk) More info go to his website.

It's sad that he hasn't been found yet, must be horrible for his family the 'not knowing'.

..... but on saying that for a professional pilot, why oh WHY did he not do a flight plan. The first rule of flying a plane but he obviously felt beyond him on any routine flights.

are you thinking he could be lost in australia??? that plane must have had some great range!!!
seriously - it just goes to show you should never become complacent when travelling & should always file a flight/travel plan with someone & then stick to it. Also what happened to his epirb??
