My son can no longer connect to the internet. We have dial up (very small town in TX - nothing is availabel where we live) and we use MSN.

Normally when he puts in his password a message comes up that says "Dialing" and then Changes to "Sign In Attempt 1". It always connects on the first attempt.

The last few days it never tries to dial, just goes directly to "sign in attempt 1" and then attempts 2. Then it says it cannot connect.

It does not seem to be even trying to dial. Tested the modem it's good, tested the phone cord - it's good, tested the jack - it's good. Anybody had this problem? What can we do to fix it?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

They Officers uphold the laws, just like the Military does not tell their comanders they dont want to fight, they do it, they took the oath to uphold the constitution. We have the choice as Drivers as to weather we want to break the laws we learned and that are posted. If we go through a red light or stop sign, then we broke the law, if we speed any numbers over what is posted, then we broke the law, If we dont have our seat belts on, then we broke the laws, If we dont turn on our turn signals or cross over a solid white line to change lanes, then we are breaking the laws A solid White line is to be treated as a Solid Wall or barier and not using your signals will leave you possibly at fault in incodents as you are not letting anyone else know your intentions of changing lanes or turning off. So Quit complaining

Aside from converting the nutrients to energy the two processes are almost identical.

I'm a huge germaphobe. I remember once my dog licked me on my mouth by mistake and I was so grossed out. I don't mind if my dog licks me on my hands or something but anywhere near the mouth is to much for me.

Alright. I have been trying to lose some body fat, by changing my diet, exercising etc. I was at 240, and dropped down to 210 over four months. The thing is that I had a week of sinful binging, and jumped TEN POUNDS. It was actually only a few days of pigging out. Did I bulk up on fluid or something. I was drinking lots of water before. How is this possible? I'm back at 220 and can't explain such bizarre weight gain. And no one tell me I'm full of S**T. Get it? Full of... well never mind. Anyone with some ideas please let me know. IF the decision of who would be our next President rested squarely on your shoulders (everyone else had voted, it was a complete tie and you were the last person to vote), do you know who you would vote for? Would you be voting FOR a person, or just AGAINST all the rest? Would you vote for this person because you know what they stand for, and how they've voted before, or would you vote for this person because they are popular, or won the last debate or poll?
I think we all know that the public does not pick the President, the Electoral College does, but IF it worked like I said, do you feel like you could decide who our next President would be?


Right now, I couldn't. If I had to vote in the next 5 minutes, I'd have to say that most of my vote would be based on who I didn't want to be President, instead of voting FOR the person who best represents the issues that I care about.

If you can provide some examples of Socialist or Communist countries with lower unemployment, higher GNP, a better standard of living, higher income and higher economic growth than the Capitalist United States I would appreciate this.

If this isn't possible then an explanation of why the Democrat party favors Socialism and quite often meets and supports Communist governments over Capitalism that would be helpful as well.

For the past 5 years now I have not been able to eat meats such as pork, beef or chicken...Also anything cooked in the fat from the foods...I can only eat fish, seafoods, fruits and vegetables...I have been having really bad symptoms and have seen several doctors and even in the hospital for a couple of days...No one seems to know what is going on...I have constant diarhea, migraines and severe cramps...During my time of the month the diarhea is worse....I have had several tests done and still nothing...Does anyone have a clue or suggestion as to what this could be???

My hubby and I used to watch this tv program where the guys last name was Parker but that's all anyone ever called him. I fell in love with the name (behind Nicolas of course, because that is my son's name).

My hubby thinks it's wierd to use a "last" name as a first name but I love it!

I just wanted to thank you for the warm welcome you gave me yesterday. You are the nicest bunch of folk I've seen.
Now, on to my question. My dad has mid stage PD and uses a cane or his"stick" when walking. He has many falls almost daily. He and my mom are going on a short vacation with my sister. My sister wanted to get a walker for my dad and was asking me what I thought about it. I work with him twice a week so I am more aware of his needs than my sister who lives out of state. I suggested that she should at least talk to our mom about it. She reluctantly did, and the answer was a definate "NO!". My sister is considering buying a walker anyway and bringing it along as a "surprise". How would you feel if your daughter gave you this kind of surprise?
