The White Speeding Signs with the Speed numbers listed on the highways and roads, and interstates, are showing us the MAXIMUM Speed allowed by the law, not the Officers. They Officers uphold the laws, just like the Military does not tell their comanders they dont want to fight, they do it, they took the oath to uphold the constitution. We have the choice as Drivers as to weather we want to break the laws we learned and that are posted. If we go through a red light or stop sign, then we broke the law, if we speed any numbers over what is posted, then we broke the law, If we dont have our seat belts on, then we broke the laws, If we dont turn on our turn signals or cross over a solid white line to change lanes, then we are breaking the laws A solid White line is to be treated as a Solid Wall or barier and not using your signals will leave you possibly at fault in incodents as you are not letting anyone else know your intentions of changing lanes or turning off. So Quit complaining

Finally an intelligent post regarding tickets. Star for ya.
You break the law, you get caught, you get a ticket. Any questions?

When I was young and stupid I drove like a bat out of hell, was also stressed, and got several tickets out of the deal.

Once I got a little older, smarter, and wiser, it dawned on me that except for long trips where going 5 or 10 mph faster might save me an hour or two of driving, going fast is pretty stupid. It dawned on me one day that saving 4 or 5 seconds per mile when you're only going 4 miles to the mall is pretty frigging stupid, so now I'm pretty happy going the speed limit.

I agree, If you want to be somewhere at a certain time LEAVE EARLY, theres no sense in doing 70 in a 50 and endangering others because you want to be there on time when you could have left 15minutes early and not received a ticket or endangered anyone.

I think you are the only person I have heard of that seems to like speeding tickets. People complain because the ticket gets them for the infraction and possibly higher insurance rates. I think that is what most people hate.

Now I know it is their own fault for speeding in the first place, but that doesn't mean they have to like it.

couldn't agree more, someone sent me a website speedtrappers.com (i think) it details all the areas the police like to hide out and people share "warning areas" to avoid being caught.

That's a bunch of non-sense, you speed, you lose. I've never been pulled over in all my driving career, I obey the laws, everyone else needs to.

Officers uphold the law while breaking it themselves. I understand if I will get a ticket for going to fast but it just makes me mad when I see a cop speeding down the freeway!

Hey Dudley Dooright -

Haven't you realized yet that the speed limit posted in most places are TOO SLOW?

They call us agressive drivers, but in reality, we're the ones that actaully want to get where we are going in a timely manner and pay attention to the traffic singnals while other people are just joyriding and holding us people that actually have important things to do.

Next time you are in Europe, check out how efficient and well designed the highways are. Did you ever hear of the Autobahn?

The white signs may be the speed limit and it may be the law - but I didn't vote for it.
