Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is characterized by a discomfort perceived in the legs (and occasionally the arms) and felt to decrease when patients move their limbs. Yet this relief is usually temporary, as patients feel the need to keep moving their limbs. RLS disrupts sleep as a result, causing fatigue that may affect many aspects of a patient’s life.
As many as 12 million Americans have RLS, according to the National Institutes of Health. Many experts believe that this disorder is underdiagnosed and that the incidence may be higher.
Patients often report leg discomfort that is described as creeping, crawling, pulling, itching, tingling, burning, aching or painful sensations. Others perceive it as arising deep within their legs.

It's possible. RLS is very underdiagnosed especially in children.
The criteria for RLS is where you have uncomfortable sensations in your legs, it occurs more often at night and it gets better with movement. If so, it's a pretty good story for it and you should see a neurologist since there are very effective treatments for it. It often is hereditary too, you should ask your other family members if they have similar symptoms.

I agree with "nicedoc" up to a point: you seem to be quite young for this, your still growing and, this could be growing pains too. I wouldn't want your mom to rush you into meds this Young. it's too young for this.
There are meds. "Rapinirole HCI" better known as "requip" that start at 25 mgs. and go up to 100 mgs. but, they make you tired as heck and it's certainly not for a youngster unless it's a last resort thing, I'm on them,. I know. There is a new med but, I'm not familiar with them.
My problem is from my back, I have severe spinal damage from a bone disease. Yours could be from anything and seeing a doctor and getting MRI's, X-Rays, diagnoses and further examinations are the only way to go before you start on something that may affect your life forever.

You'd have to be a quack just to believe that RLS is a real "diagnosable" disease. Get more exercise.

I take B12 and iron supplements and this helps. its easier to try this than to go to a Dr. and pay for the prescription. I recommend trying these first.
