I have a 96 Dodge Ram 1500, and it feels like the tranny is going out. (For more details, see one of my other questions that has all the information and details on this problem: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AiyMFO0Czqg0kBcll6Y_ekTsy6IX?qid=20070831215850AAHsYZH)

So should I get a new tranny? What kind should I get? How much would that be? And instead of getting another stock 4-speed automatic, should I upgrade to like a 5-speed automatic or even a manual? And how much more would that cost?

We are setting sail with Carnival Cruise Lines from Miami September 24, but the 23rd we are flying in to Fort Lauderdale. It was cheaper for us to fly into FLL.

Carnival wants $120 for my husband and I to transport us to and from Miami.

Someone suggested renting a car.

Has anyone done this?

We would be renting a car Sunday in Fort Lauderdale, taking it to Miami, and then vice versa.

Would it be better to go this rout?

hey every1!!!
i got an ultrasound done so they could get the anatomy of the baby & the doctor couldnt get a profile pic to well, then she asked if i had a lot of presser on my lower belly on a regular & i said yes &that it hurts sometimes when i work or walk, so she told me the baby is Very low & she kept saying it when she was moving the thing around my belly.. she tried to move the baby by pushing it around & it wouldn't move out of where it was so she told me to go on my side & that didn't work so she pushed the thing in my belly harder to get the profile pic. she got a pic but it wasnt good enough so she gave me another appointment.
this is my first baby so i dont know whats going on. i went to my doctor & asked her what the other lady was talking about & she just looked at me in a "what u talking about" way & then told me its nothing, then i told her about the glop of thick clear mucus that came out b4 & how big it was, she said its nothing again. whats going on?

I have this weird dream that keeps recurring and has been since I was 5 years old :

I am in the dark, extremely aware of myself....AND the fact that there are others around me.
All I see is the stars in the night.
I cannot see the people around me, But I know they are there, and that we are forming a BIG circle, of probably about 60 people or so. I hear the crackling of distant fires. I hear the beating of soft drums. I hear "chanting", in a native tongue. My guess..it is Cherokee. (that's half of my ancestry) I've heard the language since, and it's very similiar if not the same. Anyway, a small, very short, very petite older Indian woman approaches me. She is dressed in a very formal kind of ritualistic outfit. It's beaded...and beautiful. She has feathers in her two-braids hair too, but something about her appearance leads me to believe she is more than just the average old Indian woman. But rather, someone of great importance. She is chanting the same sing-song kind of lingo. She pulls out a pouch, much like the medicine man pouches you might be familiar with. Leather bag with a draw string kind of thing. She is looking me in the eyes. She gets some kind of "dust" out of the bag, and while chanting, she throws some down on the ground in front of me. A wall of fire shaped in an arrow starts to build upward toward the sky. It's pointing directly ahead. It gets higher and higher until all I can see is a wall of fire.

Then...the dream ends.

I'm 14 and I'm 5 feet 1 right now. But I have been that tall for 3 years straight. I just stopped growing, and everybody else seems taller than me. I was just wondering, if I needed to drink more milk, or do more aerobic activity so my legs get a little jolt every now and then? Or what can I do that well increase my chances of getting taller than I am now?

I know a lot of married women feel that they are not appreciated enough for the things they do for the family. I think a good idea for men would be to give their wives GBP's (Good Behavior Points) when they are submissive, sweet, prepare nice dinners, and keep the house clean. These GBP's could be "cashed in" on items or vacations of her choice. For example, 100 GBP's could be redeemed for a nice weekend vacation or 30 GBP's could be redeemed for a spa treatment. Does this sound like a good idea?

I stayed with my Ex and the kids this past weekend. I had been sleeping on the couch .. the first two nights she left to go visit friends while i stayed with the kids.. which was ok with me because she has her own life and needs some time away. Anyway. the last evening i stayed there.. she had went to bed and i had made my bed on the couch... about an hour had past and i heard her moving around back in her bedroom.. i went to the kitchen to get some water, and to kinda figure out what was going on back there.. she heard me, came to the door and whispered out ,,, hey,,, you wanna fool around,, ,so i did, of course. She's a beautiful woman hard to resist.

I guess my question is this.. we have been talking about working things out but until the other night she has acted as if she has no interest in me in this aread (sex). now she sleeps with me and the next morning cant give me a kiss on the lips. im wondering if she just used me since i was there or not? Any advice or suggestions?

He doesn't trust her @ all. She has changed so much for him over the last year yet he is the only one who hasn't seen the change. I have tried to get along with him for her sake. He said some disrespectful things to me & I told her I was done. I'm don't even want to be around her if he is going to be there. Was that wrong of me? Let me clarify NOBODY in our circle of friends likes him or thinks he is right for her. Yet she claims she is in love.

Can anyone interpret this dream I had?

So I was going to Tijuana by myself, but before I crossed the border I was supposed to meet up with some friends. So, I parked my car and left for a minute and than when I came back, I saw someone inside trying to steal it...I ran at him, and started yelling, and the guy stealing the car came out, knocked me down and ran away. When I tried to go inside the car, everything was all messed up and the seat felt like it was way up close to the window, and the car wouldn't start. Than a cop showed up and I told me to write out a police report but I refused...

I have three herniated discs in my lower back. The jobs that I would like to work seem to require lifting some amount of weight which I cannot. Should I even apply? I don't want to settle for a desk job because my back can't tolerate sitting for long periods of time.

This is not meant to be offensive to Catholics...but recently the Pope came out reaffirming the Church's position that the Catholic Church is the only "true church" (insinuating its necessity for salvation, and that therefore protestants are not saved). Yet at the same time in Vatican II the Catholic church goes on to say that Muslims who do not believe Jesus is God are saved...

Second Vatican Council, Lumen Gentium 16, November 21, 1964: “…The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day…”

Surely, they are not saying Lutherans are condemned, but Muslims saved? Can someone clarify this for me?

My friend has owned a dachshund and yorkie for about a year now. At first, they would just fight and play together, but for the past month I have noticed the dogs dry humping each other, with the dog being humped ignoring the act, and I also have seen one of the dogs lick the other dog's penis on a constant basis. My friend is confused and so am I. Why is this happening?

I hate to be one of those dumb girls that ask "Am I pregnant?", but I'm hoping to hear from your ladies if you have been in the same situation and whether you were pregnant or not.

Before you say, "Go to the Doc", I have an appointment for Friday (earliest available).

Okay, I'm 23 and I have a cycle that is between 28 and 31 days. I'm at 36 days since my last period now, which makes me at least 5 days late. HPT came back negative (okay, okay 4 HPT came back negative. One for each day that I was late). Now today, I have a lot of odorless white and clear discharge that i've never had before.

I'm not trying to concieve right now and this is my first pregnancy scare. Half of me thinks that it's just stress that is making me late, but the other half feels like something is way off.

My son is 13, he was very attached to his stepmom and finally just got back to talking to his father. His dad has mental problems and the stepmom's went into a depression during the divorce from the dad's constant harrassment. She had a protection order but he was always in the gray area. He constantly dissed the stepmom to my son and refused to let him speak to her (per a court order). It was a stupid drawnout fight that the dad would draw my son into.

The son pulled away from the dad with all this drama and refused his summer visitation. He just finally started talking to his father now, guardedly but at least talked to him.

He adored this stepmom and she was a good stepmom, we got along fine.

I had the school counselor help me tell him, they notified all teachers, he is in counseling at the school for this they said. What else if anything do I do? I am at a loss now. I forsee him hating his father and right now he of course doesn't want to talk to him.
