I posted this a while ago but it got cut before I got back. Tanx for all and any help...
I got a hand me down pc and I want to upgade the RAM to 1GB. The original specs are...
K7S5A motherboard
AMD Athlon processor 1.16Ghz
NVIDIA GeForce2 mx100/200
Ms windows xp sp2
pc2100 256Mb RAM DDR/CL 2.5

There are two DDR slots and two SDR slots on this motherboard. I understand that you cannot mix DDR and SDR.
I got two pc3200 DDR 400mhz SD Ram 512Mb cards and inserted them in DDR slots one and two.
It's only reading the 512 in the DDR2 slot and so although there's a gig in there, it's only giving me 512.
Why is it not reading/recognising the other one...?
I've checked out the ram in the slots and both 512s are reading, indivually, when placed in the 2nd slot.
No sign of life from the 1st slot...(no boot when there's only a ram in the 1st slot and the 2nd slot is empty)

Is that repairable...?
Or realistically am I looking at getting a new motherboard...?
Any recommendations...

In the Tales of Beetle and Bard that Hermione received from Dumbledore....there is a fable about three brothers.... a lot of celebrities in this country seem to be plain stupid, isnt it time we found some intelligent young people that are still fun to be examples for people who watch things like big brother

Why are the vast majority of serious crimes commited by black people. I know that there are many exception to this, but to me it just seems like the black neighborhoods are always considered violent and unsafe. Why is that?
