I heat some water to boiling, then I place a tea bag in it and let it steep for 4-5 minutes. Then I drink it.

Pick some mint leaves, or other herbs that make nice teas, rinse them well, and dry them gently in the sun for several days. Package these in a cloth or paper bag. Don't keep them too long, a few weeks is tops for the homemade stuff.
Put a spoonful of these dried leaves into a cup or a pot and add boiling water.
If you're American and are wondering how to make flavored iced tea yourself at home, take a couple or three teabags of black tea and make the tea really strong. Let it cool off a little, then add 1/3 a pitcher of lemonade (or juice or fruit drink) and 2/3 tea. Chill. Serve over ice.
Ok, I guess you don't need to be American to want flavored iced tea, but we are the main ones who do that.

Get yourself a teaball or something
Get some herbs like jasmine, mint (I've had good luck with this!), or chamomile
Snip a few leaves off
Rinse the leaves and teaball, put the leaves in the teaball
Insert into a cup of boiling water.
Or you could do the easy thing and buy some Luzianne or Lipton tea bags.
Boil water in a small saucepan.
Put teabags in for 15-20 minutes.
Put about 1/2 cup of sugar in a pitcher
Pour the tea in
Either re-boil the bags or just pour cold water in the pan with them and pour into the pitcher.

Fill a kettle with fresh cold water. Put it on the stove top to boil, unless you're using an electric kettle.
Next get the teapot ready. Once the water comes to a boil, pour some into the teapot,put the kettle back on the stove until the water returns to boiling again. Swish the water around to warm the pot and dump out the water. Next measure out the loose tea. Use one heaping teaspoon for each cup being made, plus one extra spoonful. Or use one teabag per cup being made, plus 1 extra bag. Next pour the boiling water into the teapot. Cover and let the tea brew and steep for 3 minutes. Serve the tea with milk, or lemon, sugar or honey, and if you want, cinnamon sticks.

Boil a pot of water, approximately the amount that will fit into your container you plan on storing it in.
place some tea bags in the boiling water, maybe 6
boil it for 5 minutes
remove from burner and allow to steep for 30 minutes or longer
add a cup of sugar and stir
Pour into a pitcher or container like a juice jar
serve over ice
Red Zinger tea is tasty over ice but you could just use whatever is cheap at the store, 100 bags for a dollar.

Honey child--this is how a true lifelong southerner makes iced tea (it's the "concentrated" method.): Use JFG teabags (made in Knoxville, TN. If you can't find them, use a strong orange pekoe and pekoe cut black tea).Use one of the big gallon-sized bags. Put the teabag in a pot with one quart of fresh cold water. Bring to a full boil on the STOVE (not microwave!). Lower heat and let bag boil for a few minutes. Remove from heat. Cover pot. Let it sit for about 15-20 minutes. Pour the tea into a pitcher (glass is best)--use a strainer in case the bag sprung a leak while boiling. I squeeze the bag also! Add three quarts of cold water. This will make one gallon of heavenly tea! Store in refrigerator (cover that pitcher with foil). Pour into ice-filled tall glasses and add a small wedge of fresh lemon. If you want sweet tea, put a cup of sugar (or less) in the pitcher before pouring the hot tea into it. Most southerners like lemon and sugar in their iced tea, and you need to make it strong so you can taste the tea! Take your glass of tea out on the porch and sip away!

I make southern-style iced sweet tea even b4 I knew such a thing existed! Bring 3 qts water w/4 family size Lipton t-bags & as soon as it begins to boil turn it off. Allow to sit about 5 mins. Remove the tea bags & still in same pot w/the hot brew I put about 2 C. sugar & stir well. Important to do while hot cuz sugar dissolves MUCH BETTER. Then I pour this into a 2 gal. pitcher & add cold water to the top & stir. Put in fridge to chill. I don't like lemon, but u may put if u like it. The amt. of sugar is also according to taste. I like my tea sweet. I have known people to stir in a few drops of vanilla extract according to taste. It's ok but I enjoy the unspoiled iced tea. Oh, the tea will stain your pot (I use a stainless steel) but it is easily removed by scrubbing with a Brillo/SOS steel wool pad.

For Sweeeeet Southern Tea:
Boil water.
Put at least 2-2 1/2 cups of sugar in a 2 quart pitcher.
Pour in boiling water. Stir to dissolve sugar.
Place 4 small tea bags, or 1 family size tea bag in sugar water, and let it sit 3-4 minutes.
Remove tea bags and enjoy sweeeeet southern tea!

Get a large plastic (see through) jug , place tea bags, water and tons of sugar in it and let it sit in the sun all day. It is THE BEST. But if no sun avail-boil a couple of cups of water on the stove, take off and put tea bags and sugar in it and let in set for 5 or so minutes (depending on how strong you like it) then add that to a jug full of iced water

I microwave about 2 cups of water and 6 teabags for 5 minutes, then let it steep for 10 more minutes. Then I remove the teabags and add sugar. It's best to add the sugar when the tea is still warm so it dissolves nicely. Then add ice and cold water. Makes about 2 quarts.
It's fast and easy... you can't go wrong :)
Oops I thought you meant iced tea. For tea, you just boil water on the stove or in the microwave and add a teabag, let it steep and in a few minutes you have tea!
