This question was inspired by college football, believe it or not. In past NFL drafts, Florida, Miami, and Ohio State have dominated the first round, and those schools usually produce some of the league's best players later on.

However, since this is the hockey forum, I thought I would inquire about Canada's Major Junior programs (QMJHL, WHL, OHL). What junior team has had the best track record in terms of NHL all-stars?

Please provide more information............if you are talking about the NHL's first and 2nd all-star teams, the answer is the Montreal Junior Canadiens, but most of those were before the institution of the NHL draft.

Now, are you looking at total all-star selections..i.e Verdun has 19 because Ray Bourque has 19 all-star selections........or are you looking at number of all-stars...i.e. Verdun has one in Ray Bourque?

Either way I still think Montreal Jr Canadiens would win because they have over 50 all-stars and over 300 selections


Thanks for clarifying Snoop - All-Star has numerous connotations nowadays. Sadly, the post-season list (as mentioned in the NHL Guide and Record book beginning on page 226 in the 2007 guide) doesn't get the recognition it got 25 years ago and more

I'm gonna say either the Q or the O. They both have had their fair share. Hopefully the OHL can produce one more(me) lol.

I would like to say QMJHL. On their wikipedia page it names pretty high profile players that came from there.
