Why do you call your choir the Mormon Tabernacle Choir? Why not the Latter-Day Saint Tabernacle Choir?

a local 'Air Force recruiter tells my son it could be three months before he could enter basic training.. and that he is
required to lose 20 lbs. before he can go. Is this true? I've had
family enlist into other branches and they didnt' have to go
through weight loss first....and they left for basic within one
to two months of enlisting. I always thought that during boot
camp they worked it off of you and shaped you up..that is one
reason for basic training? Why does it take so long to be
sent to basic for the Air Force? You'd think with our military
the way it is today, they would be anxious to get healthy
young men into training and then off to their jobs.
This is his decision...I'm only about half excited he made
this decision, because it's the most mature decision he's
made in the last five years...part of me isn't so anxious
for him to go....but it's what he wants to do now, and he
doesn't want to wait around forever..... so really, what's the
holdup anyway?

There is an old computer emulator I use frequently that runs under DOS. The sound worked fine on my Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 card under Windows ME, but since upgrading to XP, the sound is now noisy and unclear. Oddly enough, the same program runs fine on my laptop under XP. The laptop has a built in Altec Lansing sound card. Would changing to a non-Sound Blaster card that is 5.1 compatible in my desktop computer possibly clear up this problem?

Hi my partner and i are trying to concieve our first child. i went off the pill in Jan 07 and my cycles since then have been 34,26,34,51,34 and now im currently on day 50 with no sign of period at all..my doc tested me for under-active thyroid as my mum has it...came back all clear..now she is testing me for PCOS...have to do the test on day 5 of my period..but my period is no where in sight!! did preg test came out negative..is there anyone out there that has pcos and has symptoms like this? is there anything else it could be? im 20 years old and my partner is 26.

In the past Christians used black men as slaves, and to no suprise....none other than thier precious bible told them they were entitled to enslave others (back then, the poor black men were victimized).

In the present, slavery is cleary unacceptable...and even Christians can't justify it. Somehow Christians try to ignore their dirty past...they say, "We Christians are not the same as those Christians back then...blah blah blah...."...ok, we'll let them slip...but wait!

Now a days, Christians are condemning homosexuals...and how do they justify their judgemental minds?....TADA! Through their precious "bible" yet again!

Maybe a hundred or so years from now when someone asks them why they were so judgemental against homosexuals they'll say, "Well, we're not like those Christians back then"

I advise you Christians to start editing(something you're really good at) the "homosexuals will be called least in heaven" part before it gets out of hand!
