Most often, yes. I see any effort with the exception of an IDK or thanks for the two points as a reason to award. I like the idea that when you get BA you can also rake in the points that come with the thumbs up, so yes. If i just stop by a question and don't answer, I leave a thumbs up for all appropriate responses.

I give thumbs up to answers that deserve them...if they have put thought into it or give a reasonable answer..i give a thumbs up...but if they dont answer the question and put "d" or some other letter as an answer...i give thumbs down..

i will give thumbs up for good answers, even the ones i feel are better then mine. i also don't have a problem giving a thumbs down to the jerks.

I do give thumbs up.,..but I never give thumbs down for an answer..except in avatar games., I give thumbs down to the ruiner of it.....
