To become popular you need hardwork, dedication and passion. Try one of those reality shows if you have the talent.
If not, do it the silly way to attract attention... :-)

1. Be yourself
2. Don't be annoying
3. Dress nicely (NEVER DRESS BADLY, EVER)
4. Take it slow, make friends with near popular, make friends with popular, you will soon be connected to popularity
5. Use humor with caution (I always make a joke, but be careful because if its not funny....ugh, real embarrassment.)
6. Change attitudes around people, if you are in a bad mood, try to avoid people for a while, and make sure you shift moods if someone tries to talk to you

LOL I recall when I was in Std.6. & my ol'school teacher were trying to educate students to be themselves & not to try to wear & follow trends of mass media or other kids (mainly rich & spoilt) to be popular.
Everyone was trying to be cool, hot, whatever to set a trend badly last time.
Eventually my teacher (who's among the very popular teacher in school for being a lovable cool father figure to all of us) said...
"So you all wanna be popular?
Oh yeah??? Really?
Come closer...
If you come to school naked & run around a few times, you'll be the most popular kid in town.
This I assured you.
...now get back to UPSR, if you all don't wanna eat roti panjang."

- When you saw a reporter doing a live show, go behind them and give the 'peace' sign several times.
