my boyfriends family is overly dysfunctional. his brother yells, throws objects, and there is no respect between them. the mother usually sides with the brother and therefore my boyfriend always feels hatred towards her. the father butts out and acts like nothing happens. my question is..if someone is brought up in a home filled with disrespect for one another and fighting, do you think this will be the case when my boyfriend has a place of his own ??
(or when we get married?)

I'm looking for a sauce recipe, and I don't mean open a jar or tear open a package, I mean "REAL" sauce. I know it's a tall order (I'm sure that "old world" Italian recipes are a closely guarded family secrets), but hopefully someone out there can offer some guidence. I understand that I'm setting myself up for alot of different and sarcastic answers, but please only respond if you have a serious answer and know that spaghetti sauce and pizza sauce aren't the same thing. For the past...four days or so...I've been getting a strange sort of headache.

First I felt like something was wrong when I inhaled through my nose and I got that awful feeling...you know the kind, where you inhale water? I keep getting that. But there's no water, and I blow my nose and nothing happens or comes out.

After I get the "water up nose" feeling I feel a bit dizzy.

A day after that feeling, the headache started. It doesn't feel like a pressure headache. More like..."Omg someone slammed the back of my skull with a hammer" pain.

That's where the pain is, the base of my skull where that little soft-ish spot it.

I keep feeling the "water in nose" thing every so often, and the head pain in that spot has been persistent for days. It gets worse when my head bows forward.

Any idea what this is, how I can fix it, and if I should worry about it?

I have a cheap but effective charcol grill that I use for cooking. Could I use it as a mini firepit if I just clean the charcol out and use a little wood in it? I can't afford to buy a firepit right now and I thought this would do in a pinch. Whaddya think? Would it work and be safe? Has anyone tried this? Thanks in advance for your answers! :)

I am absolutly unable to keep myself from popping every pimple, squeezing every blackhead and every visible pore. I have tried and tried, but I cannot go a day without doing it. I know (and have visible proof) that it only makes it worse: I create pimples out of regular pores, and I have scars from pimples that I made bleed and couldn't leave alone.

When I was younger I saw my mother doing this in the mirror in the bathroom--now I do it. She is diagnosed with depression and is on medication for it.

Is it possible that I have a psychological problem that is manifesting in this way? I hate to think that I just don't have will power--I do have will power: I run every day, I eat well, I do well in school. But this is too much for me!

Please help, it's very embarrassing and I don't know who to talk to or if I can handle it myself. If it helps, I'm a 22 y/o woman and I don't think I have an actual acne problem.

I think the Dalai Lama is one of the more inspiring people alive. He has this light coming from him that is hard to ignore. He's always smiling and he's probably the most genuinely happy person in the world. He has been invited to many Christian events to speak. And he puts the Pope to shame in my opinion. He has something that the Pope just doesn't possess.

Do you think as a Christian that it's OK to look up to the Dalai Lama and admire him, but not worship him in any way?
