For the past...four days or so...I've been getting a strange sort of headache.

First I felt like something was wrong when I inhaled through my nose and I got that awful feeling...you know the kind, where you inhale water? I keep getting that. But there's no water, and I blow my nose and nothing happens or comes out.

After I get the "water up nose" feeling I feel a bit dizzy.

A day after that feeling, the headache started. It doesn't feel like a pressure headache. More like..."Omg someone slammed the back of my skull with a hammer" pain.

That's where the pain is, the base of my skull where that little soft-ish spot it.

I keep feeling the "water in nose" thing every so often, and the head pain in that spot has been persistent for days. It gets worse when my head bows forward.

Any idea what this is, how I can fix it, and if I should worry about it?

could be problems with your neck/back. if you have a pinched nerve or herniated disk, the base of your skull will hurt pretty bad. notice if your neck or back are tight and if the tightness corresponds with the pain in your head. good luck!

You could be experiencing migraines as I get a similiar unpleasant sensation with the nose thing your're describing. You could also have stuffy sinuses but with that you would probably have some other symptoms. My advice would be to take an fast acting Tylenol/Advil when you get the first inkling somthing is up. Of course, if you've never experienced it before it's always wise to see a doctor and get checked out.

The 'water up nose' feeling to me describes a sinus headache. They can go on for weeks if not treated with medicine... The only thing is most sinus headache pain is between the eyes... towards the front of the head.
I would recommend going to the doctor... I know how horrible sinus pains can get. Do what your gut is telling you...

This sounds like your average run of the mill migraine headache to me. I started getting them for no reason about three years ago. Nothing triggered them.

It helps me to decrease my caffiene intake, and by a $4 bottle of Excedrin Migraine. Follow the directions, you really shouldn't take more than two in a 24 hour period. If those don't help you should see your doctor for some Topamax or stronger migraine medication/controller.

Whenever a headache strikes drink lots of water .Lack of oxygen may have lead to your headache. Place a few ice-cubes in a polythene bag, and apply this on the forehead and temples. Check out http://useinfo-headache.blogspot.com/ for more info

Oh my gosh! I have no idea what it could be, but if I were you I'd call a doctor ASAP. I hope it's nothing serious, but it's better to get it checked out. Healthy thoughts!

Sounds pretty classic symptoms of sinus and inner ear infection.

See your Dr who will probably put you on antibiotics to clear it up.

Be Lyme Aware. I didn't have many headaches but that is a common symptom.

It might be something as simple as needing an antioxidant, or something lacking in your diet. This is an all around vitamin, mineral, probiotic drink:
