Raised as a Baptist my understanding of a relationship with Jesus meant that a person became "saved". We accepted Jesus as the Son of God, believed that He had died on the cross to save us because we were sinners, and were baptised by full immersion. After my salvation and acceptance at the age of 8 I became very worried about my friends who were:Presbyterian, Catholic and Greek Orthodox. I asked them if they were "saved". They asked me, "What?" I asked the adults around me, "Will my friends go to heaven?" "They will if they are saved". That was a really fun time in my life as I tried to work out what "saved" really meant, and why my friends didn't understand what I was talking about.
Has anyone else experienced this escatological
problem? Have you resolved it in your heart? Do you have peace with this issue?

My bf & I have dating for 6 yrs. so its basically like were married w/out rings, anyway a year ago my bf & I bought a house, his mom brought over wed. dinners (which I despised but didn't say anything). We have been living there for 1yr & 3 months but we have realized that we would much rather live out in the country than in the city, we feared telling her because she it very protective I guess. He finally had to tell her because she could tell we were keeping something from her &she thought I was preggers. We just found out that she called her x-husb. (my bf's dad) and said she wanted to have like an intervention with us about moving. His dad said she was crazy and that were not alcoholics we just want to sell our house. we weren't supposed to know about the"intervention" so we can't confront her about it, but is there anything we can do? She is one of the reasons we want to move an hour away! ps she is still really protective because he only moved out 2 yrs ago (were 20) & he is

I'm from Moyock, North Carolina, but currently I'm visiting in Toledo, Ohio. I love this place, it's cooler, more open and rural, and just a great place to me. Also, the thing I really love is the fact it's so much cheaper here, the housing, cost-of-living, and even gas! A 500k house in Moyock, you can find here for around 250k or less!
I'll get to the point. I'm gonna be a firefighter/paramedic so once i get my degree I can go just about anywhere. On the other hand, my gf wants to be an artist. She's looking into graphic design or Illustration, and perhaps cartooning and some fine art on the side.
She wants to stay in Moyock, but I need to find a way to talk her into this place. I need to know how well art careers do around in the Toledo area, and what the salary is.

So far, we havent found anything in the NE north carolina area and VA Beach.

My pastor preached about hell yesterday, and he related a story (I think he said it was in one of John Bevere's books)about a person who died and began a descent into hell. There was some creature or whatever that took hold of him to pull him into hell, but then another (from the illustration I assumed it was Christ) also grabbed him and said, "He is mine, you cannot have him." This person was then revived after 45 minutes and remembered this experience.
Okay, previously in church, I have always been told that these NDE's are just a crock. I was SHOCKED to hear this story coming from this pastor in this church (a pretty conservative AOG church). So I'm just wondering, Christians, where does your particular denomination stand on this subject? Are NDE's real, or are they some kind of hallucination or spiritual deception?

Which of the following is worse:

A. Not believing in God/Jesus and being honest about it
B. Believing in God/Jesus but denying that you believe
C. Not believing in God/Jesus but claiming/lying that you do believe

Many Christians may have an opinion as to which of the above is worse but I am more interested to know if there is a Biblical answer to this question.

Options A and C are the options of a non believer. We can either be honest about the fact that we do not believe or we can lie about it. Which is worse? Or it worse to be a believer and deny that you believe?

That we have both a private and public healthcare system in the UK?

I keep reading arguments against socialised healthcare in America that cite "well in the UK, under their National Health Service *everyone* has crappy healthcare and waiting lists and no choice of healthcare providers".

Thats crap. Yes, there are waiting lists and sometimes a less luxurious standard of care om the NHS than you'd get privately, but we have a private system also! The rich don't 'have' to use the NHS they can "go private" anytime they want! Those who can afford it can also take out health insurance to pay for private treatment and never go near the NHS if they don't want to.

But for those who would otherwise have no access to healthcare ie the poorest - the NHS is a lifesaver.

And FWIW the care I have always received on the NHS has always been exemplary. I had my first baby last year and was given an excellent standard of care.

Having socialised medicine does not restrict choice!!!

When forming complex ions with vaious transition elements and ligands like NH3, Cl- and SCN-, OH-, i noticed something peculiar.

When i added a ligand solution and glucose to a transition element, it acted differently to when it was mixed with just the ligand. I'm not sure as to why this would be, can any one help?

Okay. I'll start off with I am 16 and a junior. I have been dating a guy for almost 5 months. And I am in love. *He is a senior this year at another school* He says that when I graduate he wants to get engaged. I would like to get in a few years of college at least before getting married. He doesn't plan on going to college, as he doesn't need to with the job he plans on doing. *Fire fighter* So my question is what do you think I should do? Is it dumb to make him wait a few years after becoming engaged? Am I just freaking out over nothing? Any suggestions would be great.

we would get up early on saturday mornings and watch the smurfs, fat albertm, and the jackson 5 cartoons

i would get punished and never once thought about calling the police.

we had to physically get up and turn the television. u know the one with the wire hanger and foil paper on it.

we would run to the neighborhood candy house everyday after school and buy pickles and nowlatas :) then eat them together

yesterday i put a new keyboard on moms cp, it didnt work, i rebooted and still nothing. I hooked the old one back up and nothing with that one, but i noticed while starting to plug it in the lights came on then went back off, so i plugged the new one back in and the same thing happened. while starting to plug it in there were lights then right back off. Ok is it driver related? and if so, how am i going to update that with no key board to type the web site. I was told that xp has a internal key board. Please help

im not usually late and i also have no signs of it coming anytime soon!! i usually have some pains for a few days before!! i have just had a miscarriage does this mean that my period will be late??

also i have been feeling like i might be pregnant...like feeling sick some sickness in mornings and im always going to the toilet!!

could it just be that my hormones are still thinking im pregnant or could i be again?? i have had unprotected sex two or three times since miscarriage so...but my bf didnt come inside me but then he never has and i got pregnant before and i know the risks...

im really confused!! please help!! i took a test last week because i was at a clinic and was diagnosed with bv. had to take antibiotics for 5 days. could this have delayed my period??

please help im so confused and right now my brain is in overdive because of the miscariage and everythign iv been through. please try answer my questions!! thank you xxx
