yesterday i put a new keyboard on moms cp, it didnt work, i rebooted and still nothing. I hooked the old one back up and nothing with that one, but i noticed while starting to plug it in the lights came on then went back off, so i plugged the new one back in and the same thing happened. while starting to plug it in there were lights then right back off. Ok is it driver related? and if so, how am i going to update that with no key board to type the web site. I was told that xp has a internal key board. Please help

All standard keyboard drivers are already built-in to Windows.

Try this: Disconnect the keyboard and start Windows, then plug it in and Windows should find the new keyboard. If this doesn't work, your Mom's PC is likely infected with malware or the keyboard port is defective. Use the "Discover TAB" to learn more about Malware.

Start > All Programs > Accessories > Accessibility > On-screen keyboard lets you type using your mouse.
