Hi!
I'm finally ready to buy a really good flat iron. It's GHD and costs $220

But right now I have my $50 Conair one. Both of these flat irons are ceramic, but GHD claims to work realllly well.

Does anyone know why the more expensive flat iron does a better job (apparently) if they both seem to be made of the same things?

I was in a bad car accident and my car is likely right on the border for being totaled. My problem is, it is a 5 year old car and I still owe $16,000 on it. If my insurance company is good to me, I should just barely be able to get that from them for totaling it. However, I will have no money for a new car, and my credit has taken a hit the last year so I wouldn't easily be able to get financing on something else.

My question is, if my insurance company totals my car and gives me a check, will the check actually be made out to ME, or will they automatically (or be forced) to give it to my auto loan lender to pay off the car? What I'd like to do is keep paying my loan I already have as if nothing changed, and take my totaled car check and go buy another car outright, but I don't know if that's possible or not. Can anyone help?

It would just be my labor (when parts are needed, I would sell at cost). I'm wondering what kind of tax benefits I could get from it. I live in a small area where everyone knows me, and calls me for all things involving computers. I am the IT Manager for a local factory. I get calls all the time from charity's, library, museums.. ect. I would like to do a service to the community, but I would like to get something out of it as well. Anybody have any experiences with no-profs or tax right offs?

I have no credit but was issued a credit card through my work (I'm a cashier at a department store) in order to receive my 20% discount on the merchandise I buy. My credit limit is $100 and I went over by $3.94 this month. Will this hurt my credit and will there be a fee? Also how long do I have to wait to request that my credit limit be increased? $100 is such a small amount and with the paychecks I earn, I can surely afford to spend more than that.

Ok so something really wierd happened when my mom and I went to our cabin in the afternoon in the middle of the week last week.. We tried to open the door but the handle wouldn't move, so then we unlocked it and the handle would move but it was locked again, and when we unlocked it, the handle wouldn't move again, like someone was on the other side locking and holding the handle.. So we went to all the neighbors but no one was home, so we went back and unlocked it and the door opened right away.. when we got in we discovered that the alarm system had been disarmed, when we were posative that we armed it the last time we had left. We got out of there right away, very freaked out, and a week before we found out that a Kosco account had been setup to send mail to our cabin adress that we never set up.. We're worried someones up to something and we want to get a security camera installed that we can monitor live from our computers at home.. where could we get one thats not too expensive??
