I still have the illusion that my children and my stepchild will become self-sufficient. Then we can repair our house and sell it for what it's appraised at (by then, the houses on the market will be moving again!), and we can move into a place that's easier to maintain.
I hope the house lasts that long!
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

No more illusions. I'm getting older, but I'm not too old yet. Illusions were the problems in life. I just want to spend my retirement doing what I find relaxing, I don't need to struggle with anymore illusions.
Actually, I think you meant dreams, didn't you?

No-I'm way too old to have any illusions. My life revolves around reality and it's very nice. It hasnt always been terrific but at the moment it is, so I'm running with what I've got.

To better my life I would love to be back on a high mountain in a small cabin with clean air and none of the frantic to and fro. The other goals are already realized, I am pretty content just being retired and alone.

From the time I was a small child and knew what it meant to be an instrument of God, I wanted to be one.
And He made me one in my life.
Any illusions I may have had at any time in my life, have all come true and are realities.
I am a helper ----- And I am happy!

I believe that God's love for me and my relationship with Him together has created the vision for my life instead of an illusion.
This vision is backed by my faith in knowing that I can have what I ask - and that I must ask in faith because Faith is what pleases God. He is concerned about me and wants me to have what His will is for my life and he has given me the ability to dream dreams, see visions and to establish those things in my life through my faith and my work. Everyday, I have something wonderful to thank Him for. Everyday, more and more pieces of my vision is revealed and I give Him all the Praise and Glory. Just knowing that this forum for the "seniors" is here, is a blessing and no more a 'secret'. God reveals Himself through His Son Jesus and His character is always available for us to rely upon and immulate. My vision - to continue to love God, to serve Jesus and my fellowman and to forgive and show compassion to all. In that, I am able to use whatever he has given me (singing, music, teaching, worshipping, speaking, etc.) all to His glory.

Well, personally, I don't think there IS a secret to life...I think we all survive in spite of ourselves ! WE start out rebellious as hell, get worse with age, and if we are very lucky, nothing we thougth we wanted will get us!.... Something else does.
