I'm 13 and going into 8th grade. I'm an a-cup bra(i've measured) and my mom can tell, however, she still refuses to let me wear a bra because she thinks I dont need one(even though she always points it out). My sister has even tried to convince her, and when she said that I was an A by measurement, my mom said,"ok" impartially. It is so irritating, not to mention embarassing! What can I do?

I say a psychiatrist for the first time today due to increased anxiety and panic attacks. I touched briefly on almost ever bad thing thats ever happened in my life. But a few hours later, I'm an emotional wreck- all these bad memories are now fresh in my mind again. I was supposed to see family and friends today, and i basically just told everyone to leave me alone, I couldn't handle it. My body feels numb, and my mind feels pain, if that makes any sense. Has anyone else experienced this before? If so, what did you do to get thru the week til ur next therapy session?

Lots of folks I know have been taking up long distance (marathon) running - and usually cite it as a tremendous personal goal and an opportunity for a major endurance gain. Besides, there's the 'runner's high'. However, I have also heard from others, including folks in the medical profession, that training for and running in a marathon is a terrible thing to do - because no matter how much you attend to form, it is a lot of wear and tear to your joints that you will regret when you're older. Is there an official medical position on running marathons? Recommended or discouraged?

sitting in government class back in the days of highschool, i remember hearing the history of this great country, now i watch the news and hear the president denying a bill that will promote tolerance for homosexuals, or order more troops to die for oil, pass a tax making the rich richer and the poor poorer, can we ever be that country that everyone wanted to live in, or countries turned to for protection rather than burn its flags, can we be that again?

The Pentecostal church I went to had this regular monthly so called "Christian" magazine. And what I absolutely hated about it, was that on the front cover, was some bloody famous celebrity, whether it was sporting, acting, music etc. Just like a regular secular magazine.

And worse, most of the time, there were only very tenous links to Christianity in the cover article. Many times, the celebrity may have just been raised in a church, or heard about Christianity, any such clutching of straws to put them on the front cover. And there were other cover articles that had no mention of God at all.

It just sickened me that celebrities were used as a drawcard.

Some articles were poorly researched. For eg, one edition had Peter Brock on the cover, a former Australian racing legend. However, Peter Brock and his wife were well known for their New Age beliefs.

Another edition had singer Delta Goodrem. Even though rock / pop music was preached against.

Hypocrisy!

I found a trick of the trade, a shop vac. It has to be the 6.5 hp. with the 16 gallon tank. Mine is the rigid brand. They are relatively inexpensive and really clean the carpets way better than your conventional vacuum. I mean they really clean the carpet. And the attachment gets under the beds and furniture way easier. And it gets in the corners well too. And I guess if you wanted to you could even put water on the carpet. Because its a wet/dry vacuum

I am going to California for 12 days with my two grandsons 12 and 14 and daughter in law around the middle of August and will be staying with my neice in Los Angeles area. (Manhattan Beach).
