hey my high school years didnt go so good, i was back n forth through a divorce situation so my gpa was really low when i graduated high school 2.1 actually i didnt get a chance to take the act, and now it is almost aug and im trying to apply for a college, im very smart and im determined. i just was lazy in high school but my senior year i decided to step it upis there hope for me to go to college, i live in alabama and want to get away from home.. plz helppp i also very good at computers and want to take up computer enginnerring can u give me info on whats the best one to take with money and a great job after i grad

Last week I got asked out by this guy. He wanted to take me out for my b-day (which is today) and he called earlier today to tell me that he wasn't going to be able to take me out because his sister's car broke down, so he was going to have to take her around. He tries to help his sister and her family out the best way he can because he says that she is barely making ends meet, plus she's pregnant again, so whenever she needs him he tries to be there for her. Now on one hand, I can understand that, but also, for me, this was a major embarassement because I've told ppl all week that I had a date set for today and that I wasn't going to be available today. I guess you can say that I'm stuck and I don't know what to say or do when I see him Monday at work. Right now I'm dissapointed, but on the other hand I really don't know what to think or say cuz what he had to do with his sister may have been more important than taking me out. What should I do or say to him when I see him Monday?

I love to write poetry, and I never really thought about publishing it until someone told me that i was a really good poet, and I should think about getting it published. This is the poem that a lot of people said was really good that I wrote. I'ts called "My Addiction."

If there was any drug that I would take
The one I'd take would be as sweet as cake.
I can't tell you her name but you will find
That the drug I take is so very divine
She's lovely to see after a long hard day
And she's better than anything I can ever paid
As soon as you want some you'll always want more
And each time you take some you'll take a little more
You’ll start to get a feeling that you won’t ever forget
Your heart beats faster and you might even sweat
As the moment gets closer you start to feel
A tingling sensation that you know for sure is real
No matter how hard you try it can’t be controlled
And the best part is that it never gets old
You start addicted, and you can’t ever stop

They say that we are brainwashed, yet it is non-LDS Christian pastors who (sometimes) use classic brainwashing techniques in their revival meetings? They say we are too afraid to leave the church even if we know it's wrong, yet they will tell their children that to leave the church is to burn in hell?

From the outside looking in, the US economy is booming and thriving...everything looks rosie and looks bright in the US garden...according to SkyNews which is part of the Fox network...
It would be absolutely impossible to be booming when you consider the NZ dollar is at approximately 81/82 cents to the US dollar..
For those who do not know, New Zealand is a very small, two-island country on the Eastern edge of Australia and produces a lot of wool & sheep related products..
I lived there for 12 months and it is a cold depressing place with not much going on at all, and their main revenue source is from tourism in the peak summer months of November through to February.
How can they be at such a high conversion rate, when their economy is weak, yet the US is allegedly 'booming?' Or is that just what the US government want the outisde world to think so that we can all live like Bush's America and again, justify protecting 'our way of life?'
