The bank can't tell what the check is for. As for taxes, illegal income is legally taxable. Al Capone was actually convicted of tax evasion for his illegal income. As a rule, the IRS does not care if you are working legally as long as you pay taxes. If they did, the vast majority of illegal aliens could be located within a week.

If you work without authorization you can be deported. Whether you are working legally or not, you always must pay taxes on your income.

If you filed a proper tax return with a legally obtained ITIN (apply using Form W-7) you would not run afoul of the IRS. Whether or not they would report anything to CIS is another story but they don't seem to communicate a lot between each other.

Not paying taxes would be another nail in the deportation coffin so you're probably better off paying them and taking your chances otherwise.

Boy, do you need a lawyer, right this minute...............

I would be looking behind my shoulder every minute of every day because the government will be catching up with you.
Do you realize the consequences if you are working illegally?

Please don't do that to yourself. If you enjoy being here and can support yourself some other way do it.

Those checks are a paper trail right to you so you can't hide.
