If so, what is the best way?

Hammer curls pump up the forearms. I curl (regular curls) 40 pounds in each hand with dumbells. To do hammer curls I use lighter weight 35s. To do the exercise, place the dumbell straight up and raise to the chest like a curl. But using proper form the forearm is doing the lifting. Do the same sets that you do with regular bicep curls. I do 4 sets of 8. You get results with stronger wrists and forearms right away.
