A quote..."The downfall of American society can be, in part, attributed to the misuse of the English language"..as in gang slang, dual (Spanish/English) on store labels and computers, lack of proper spelling even in periodicals....
Years ago, times were simpler with less strife, and everyone spoke and wrote proper English. If the basic lines of communication break down, would that not explain some of the misunderstandings we face today?

I think that I may have, years ago..and here I just thought that it was a "house protective demon" or something like that!!
It didn't move...but, it scared me soooo badly that I couldn't scream, or move! I am really hoping that I don't have to see that again,.,...ever!!

What about you all? What did or have you seen, that was "really there" and you just couldn't explain it!?

The Philippines is having the hardest time finding solution to every problems she had over the last 27 years after Edsa revolution, I for one have thought that our forefathers made a mistake asking for independence from the United States then, for sure no Filipinos would ever work in any country as domestic helpers or laborers because we are part of the US territory, some will say we have to revolt and ask for independence from the US because of the abuses they made, but are we not being abused by our own people? Are we not working as slaves in other countries just to earn dollars? I donot know who coined the words that "it is better that the Philippines is run like hell by the Filipinos rather than run like heaven by the Americans" I think the prediction came true. (note) if you are not a Filipino, don't answer this, just a suggestion

i have cut for 2 years & i HAVE NEVER said this b4 but i have drank rum b4 when i was super sad(but i will NEVER do it again
i dont no y i get like this second im happy & stuff then some1 will do something or say something & it will make me soo mad or sad i cant stand it & i will end up cutting
i HATE how my life go's most days
& it seams like most of the time i cut or am mad or sad cause of my family or friends but i LOVE them & stuff
& i cant find the other thing that makes me do it
& that bother me cause it makes me think that its all my family & friend
I JUST DONT NO WHAT 2 DO ANYMORE
i WANT 2 STOP cutting & stuff

Why does smoking help me poop?

Also, how to I poop without having to smoke. It's like the two are related now. I only smoke before I poop and if I don't smoke, then I don't poop on time.

My cat is 11 mos. old. She has had diarrhea with occasional blood her whole life. She has gotten on special food for this and had numerous trips to the vet, but the problem prevails. My concern is, now, she is starting to vomit...sometimes up to 6 times a day. Usually it is just a liquid, tan in color. She also mopes around more than usual. I am very worried about her. She went to the vet yesterday and checked out "just fine". They did send her home with an antibiotic (which she hates! chicken flavored, yeah, right). Anywho, she has already vomited 3 times tonight and I just don't know what to do or think. I very rarely see hair in her puke. I do see the occasional blade or two of grass. Mostly, it's just tan liquid though. Any thoughts?

It took me three hours to pain the bathroom alone, but only one hour when my boyfriend helped me. Why is it that when the two of us work together it takes so much less time. Why did we finish in less time than I expect it would have taken? I would expect it would take 1.5 hours.

I also notice when I have just one person helping me I get things done way quicker than doing it alone. But if I have too many people helping me, it would be better doing it myseld.

My bff madeout w/ this guy a week or so agothat i liked and he liked me while i was out of town. And after a while I forgaveher, she said that she didn't want to kiss him she just didn't know how to say no. so I went back to her house. And he was there. But I didn't give him much notice[he didn't know I knew he madeout with my bff]. And a few days later while I was still at her house and he was there too. While I was in a room alone he came in we were just standing there for a moment. Then we were like doing this weird thing where we were eskimo-kissing[ha sounds weird]then he kissed me on the forehead and left.I went outside.my bff was out there, she told me he had tried kissing her in the hall way ealier that day after I told her me and him were like flirting inside or w/e.he came out and she told him that i knew he madeout w/ her.he told her he wanted to go out with me again. and she told me and i said no. later that nite she told me how she wantd me to go out with him just so mite heart would get broken then she would have her chance w/ him. then she told me later that she was a compolsive liar. and then i was thinking about it and realized. wat if she didnt want to say no? it has been driving me crazy. what should i do? i still like the guy. but she told me he already had 3 g/f. but was that just one of her lies?

Ok this is for people who like tattoos. Those who dislike them need not respond.....
Ok I am getting a tattoo tomorrow, It is a tribal looking butterfly with some tribal designs coming off the sides of it and it will have my kids' names above the tribal parts....Now here is my question....I really want to add my husbands first name to it also. I asked him if he minded if I do it and he like everyone else asked me " well what if we divorce one of these days?" and I look at it like this, I have been with him for 14 years. He is the father of my kids and my husband, he is and always will be a big part of my life no matter if we did eventually get divorced, I would still love him. Him and my kids are my life and he is a part of my life that I will never and I never want to forget no matter where I am at in life. So back to the question....How would you feel if your spouse got a tattoo with your name on it?
I don't want him to feel obligated to get my name at all. Thank you.

Ok so here is the deal.. Me and my boyfriend got engaged last month none of our family knows yet... My fiancee is mormon and I am Baptist.. His parents HATE that..I dont know what to do.. I have already talked to his mother and she sounded ok about me being a different religion but when she is not around me she starts saying that I am just trying to have a baby with him and all that.. WELL first of all I am only 17, we havent even done that yet and she has no right to say that about me behimd my back.. Although he has stuck up for me all the times that she has said something she still goes on and on about how I just want to get into his pants.. I dont think this is right.. I have been looking some Christian question and have been shoked to find out that most opf people nthink we are extremely bad. People say that Christian say that everything is badd, but really we don't. I am transitioning to a raw vegan lifestyle. This hasn't been too tough. I lived off raw foods and random grazing food. I haven't eaten meals for a while. I snack all day.

Shortly before deciding to become a vegan, I discovered the joy of bread. Not Wonder bread or the sliced stuff. I am ADDICTED to the mini baguettes from au bon pain. I love the kinda tough, chewy texture.

I feel a lot better when I'm eating raw which may signal a gluten or other food allergy. Every thing just runs better, but I have tried to give up this baguette thing, and like a crack addict, I go way out of my way to get a fix.

How do I deal with this? My stomach gets off its smooth sailing rhythm once I have it. Even that isn't punishment enough for me to keep away for more than 4 days. That's the longest I've gone without it. Is there some substitute? I think I might just need something salty, but other things haven't resolved it. Help! What do you suggest. I want to stop eating it.
