I was wondering because i just watched an episode of build it bigger on the discovery channel about the uss George bush, and when they were discribing it they said it was 500 tons of steel and 47,000 tons of aluminum. this kinda struck me as odd because i thought that it was mostly made of steel. and i would think that even if it was mostly aluminum, that the hull would be steel. and i think the hull would weigh more than 500 tons.

Steroid use has been around since, what, the 1960s (starting with bodybuilding). We have recently ended an era of complete ignorance with regard to the physical effects of 'roids. Maybe Hank Aaron used. Maybe Joe Montana used. No one has bothered to ask around.

My wife, if you have been paying attentionto my previous questions, has made my life difficult by physically abusing me, trying to frame me, and playing mind games with me...really bad stuff...amd I was the VICTIM in all of this...to say I am 100% guilt free would not be right but I would NEVER have done this kind of stuff to prove a point or to just be a jerk...

Anyway, she says she misses being with me and sees the errors of her ways...I have to be honest, I have heard all of this before...many times with no results...so I tend to be cautious when she says these things...

Well the thing is I love her and I do not want to be blinded by love when it comes to her drinking problem and past phyical abuse towards me...nobody deserves to be treated like I was treated...NOBODY!!!

Well my stipulations were that she go into a minimum 6 month detox and rehab program to stop her drinking and that she attend an anger management program as well to control her temper...

I have fertility issues. I don't have a regular period, and need to take a pill constantly to even have a period. I have been trying to get pregnant for a long time now. At my last Dr. visit my doctor put me on birth control for 2 months. He said this was to "ready" my ovaries for fertility drugs. So at the end of the two month cycle of the birth control, I will be put on clomid, for fertility. Has anyone ever had this happen to them, or even heard of this? Has clomid ever worked for anyone out there before? And what are the chances of it working and me getting pregnant in the first month that I take it? Thanks so much everyone!!

long story short. lets just say a friend of mine a very close friend of mine she is older then i am. and we had some issues so we talked about the issues they were as follows : you should vs i feel, how she never asks interesting questions to show interest in my life i.e.:
Me: i asked for a rasie today
Her: did you get it
Me: no but they are giving more tools to help me advance my career in sales. It's my goal to go into sales now.
"""" she showed some interest""""
Her: i got to taste the potato saled!

Where did that come from! are we not talking about what i'm talking about any more you know once i'm don't talking about me you will have your turn to be all negivita and tell me what to do again!
she over helps and gets sad when i don't take her help
after the talk we had i thought things would be better but there not!
i love her so much BTW she is my mom. but if you read anything she rights it's always about her! then wonder why i'm her only friend.

Seriously; Selig has now confirmed that he will follow Bonds in his pursuit of Aaron, presumably until the historic ball soars into the stands. Fine, no problem with that. But the career HR record has stood only since 1976.

Biggio is chasing down Hughie Jennings' career HBP record -- Bidge needs three more to pass -- and this is a record which has held since 1903 (Jennings played his last game in 1918, but last got plunked in '03). It obviously is a much harder record to break, and I think the commissioner should give equal respect to such an outstanding achievement, particularly one that was built without using any pharmaceuticals stronger than Ben-Gay.

I know, the naysayers will point out that Kendall will probably catch and pass Biggio in a few years, but we'll cross that river at that time. The spotlight is on the Houston second baseman right now.

So how about it, Bud?

Thousands of former leftists in the US have been repelled by the crimes of Stalin, Mao, Castro, etc and shed their 'progressive' worldviews for a wiser, more rational and often, more conservative philosophy

Several courageous leftists even described and condemned the knee-jerk anti-American reaction of many of their fellow travelers to the 9-11 attacks

One philosopher, social critic and lifelong Democratic socialist, Michael Walzer even produced a piece entitled, "Can There Be a Decent Left?"

"Many left intellectuals live in America like internal aliens, refusing to identify with their fellow citizens, regarding any hint of patriot feeling as politically incorrect," Walzer writes. "That's why they had such difficulty responding emotionally to the attacks of Sept. 11 or joining in the expression of solidarity that followed." In their first responses, he notes, leftists failed "to register the horror of the attack or to acknowledge the human pain it caused." Instead, they felt "schadenfreude," that German word meaning joy at another's sorrows, a "barely concealed glee that the imperial state had finally gotten what it deserved."
