There is a moral/ethical component, which Machiavelli revisited in a most radical way. To move fast on the political stage requires careful but quick handling of dangerous props in perilous moments. Skills so acquired increase the power of the actor inasmuch as the ruled accept the ethical/practical beauty of seeing (appearance) them exercised. The shadow on personal liberty is cast. Is there any escape from such an Art? Is this Necessity eternal?

Ok . . . .me and my friend were talking yesterday and she said something about being pregnant!!! I was scared but i knew it was true beczause she got lucky the first time. I have no clue what to say to comfort her or anything! I'm getting really scared. If yu have any thing that i can do to help her . . . . . or anything for em to do. We are only going into grade8 and there has never been someone who was pregnant at our school . . .and her parents will freak!!!!! I need answers!!!! and quick!!

I feel I'm behind everyone else academically, I graduated high school last year in 2006, I'm 19, almost 20, I just finished my first year at community college but I did horrible, I was on Academic Probation both semesters, I only gained 3 passing units, when I took the placement test last summer I didn't do well on it & it put me Math 010 & English 098, which are low-level classes, which means I got a while to go & I haven't passed any of them yet. I have A.D.D., which is a reason why I struggle in Academics, & I was in Special Ed. throughout Middle School & first 2 years of High School, but not all my classes were Special Ed., basically Math & English. My parents said the reason I was put in Special Ed. in the first place is because they thought it would help me socially, because I have Asperger Syndrome, & the Special Ed. classes didn't have that many students, but I felt I didn't learn anything because I struggle today to write essays & do math or homework on my own.

My husband and I start tomorrow and I am really nervous . I am nervous that he will not tell the full truth or that he will just give up cause he will actually hear how I feel about things . I recently started my own exercise program. I spend about 5 days a week at the gym and usually exercise between 1 (a short workout) to 2 and a half hours. I usually run, bike, do the stairmaster, work with an exercise ball & medicine ball for tone, and lift weights.
I gained about 3-4 pounds the past couples weeks---is this likely to be muscle? And will the fat I'm looking to lose start coming off soon after?

As far as diet goes, all I've done is cut back on junk and try to keep all my portion sizes logical---but nothing too serious.

I have been dating my boyfriend for almost two years. He is warm and caring toward me. He was divorced shortly before we met. He never talks about his ex-wife, however, I have asked about her. We have talked about her twice. It appears they had an unhappy marriage that ended after four years. She cheated on him and liked to party a lot.
My concern is that I am very jealous about his ex with no reason. I have found pictures of them together in a closet, along with paperwork such as old tax returns and marriage license. I am very embarrassed about my snooping and would never admit it to anyone. I also found her on myspace and contacted her with an alias. When she responded I felt guilty and ended correspondence right away. One interesting thing that resulted from this was that I realized she was a nice person and that we had a lot of common. I should feel good about this. Still, my jealousy persists.

I would appreciate any advice as to how to deal with this. Thank you
