Parsley and yogurt are the two best for fighting bad breath that usually starts in the stomach. Brushing is the only way to prevent cavities. If you have pink in the sink when you brush, try getting a good electric toothbrush, as you may not be getting below the gum line. So many people have gingivitis and don't realize it. They have one that is $100 at Wal-Mart and they have some that's $20. You can buy replacement heads for all of them.I love the Oral B brand. I don''t like the one that has a dual head on it though I found it less than effective. Get the one with the single round brush tip. If you just need a quick breath refresher try 1/2tsp baking soda in a 1/2cup of warm water and swish for thirty seconds and spit. If you are looking to kill bacteria, use Listerine. It really is the best stuff out there.

They say chewing parsley helps.
You can also suck on pieces of cinnamon stick or chew wintergreen or spearmint leaves.

There was a study done that seemed to prove that eating cheddar cheese before bed helped prevent the plaque that causes cavities.

Your breath will smell better if you eat something that is fresh and smells good, or you could drink water. Since water has a neutral pH, it'll make your breath smell better after taking in a certain amount.

Gargling with seltzer water helps reduce the germs that cause bad breath, and the ancient Romans used sage leaves to freshen theirs. Try it out.
