Honey, I teach voice, to MS and HS kids, since 1971. You will need lessons. Find a way to earn some money to get them - invest in yourself. You will not be singing a lead role in Evita - all the people who will are people who HAVE decent vocal training already. And I am not gonna be Miss America. That's the way it is. Of course, I have a successful life in professional music because I've got MANY YEARS and MANY DEGREES invested in myself - and since I am an instrumentalist, a big investment in printed music, recorded music, and fine instruments. Nothing GOOD is ever free - not in money , not in effort, not in time. If you have a dream, you need a plan - and a reality check. Society and TV are full of lies about how *anybody* can do it - and they will magically be discovered, and win a million dollars, and have a hit TV show, blah blah blah. Ain't gonna happen. All those so-called reality shows are set-ups from the start - they pick a mix of people who will make for an interesting SEASON. You think your TM votes count???? If so, I got a cool bridge in Brooklyn I will sell you for cheap . . .

Sing of fine matters now not unhealthy, sing of comfortable now not unhappy. Sing, Sing a song, sing it easy to last the entire night time long. Don't fear if its no longer good adequate for someone else to listen to, simply sing, sing a tune.

You can get a lot of singing practice and build your voice singing in your school or church choir. The director might even be willing to work with you one on one to get you ready for the audition. Good Luck!

I agree with previous answer - a web site won't help u much. go to ur local music shop - they may know of a singing tutor in ur area. Also try library, or even yellow pages. Hope this helps.
