I don't know why, but I love this movie. It's kinda like a dirty little fairy tail. Don't well all want someone to love us for all our flaws and treat like rare gem, and then sweep us away. I love the last scene where he climbs up the fire escapade.

yeah at the begining of the movie, he stop and ask her for direction because she's standing on the street corner and she's like ''It will cost u''..plus he cant drive the car that he borrow from his boss because its a stick so she shows him to the hotel that hes looking for the he invited her up to his room and then he pays her for his company..then he asks her to eventually stay the whole week and I guess u've seen the rest. It's a real good movie, I think. Cute in a weird way and my personal favorite of both Richard Gere and Julia Roberts

From a man's point of view, I think most women love what the film shows because of the prospect of financial stability most women think first before love. I don't mean women are materialistic but all of us, men and women wants financial freedom and we will do our best to attain it. For the women who love this film, its a kind of inspiration that who ever you are and whatever you do, there is always a chance you'll get lucky. Wishful thinking maybe, but at least the hope is there.
