Give it a chance. George Bush told us from the beginning that this would be a long and difficult war. How many Americans died in WWII ? Would you have pulled or troops out of Germany and allowed Hitler to dominate all of Europe and continue with his evil final solution? Bush is a man of principle that's far more than can say about all those two faced politicians in congress. Polls mean nothing. Bush does not govern by holding his finger to the wind to see which way it is blowing like Clinton did. If Clinton would have taken out Bin Laden when he was given the chances we would not be in this mess right now. Clinton is a coward.

It cannot possibly work, for one simple reason:there will never be enough troops to hold all the territory from which the insurgents have been driven. As soon as Coalition troops move on,the insurgents filter back in.If the Iraqi Government wasn't sectarian,& could control all of it's forces, then maybe, just maybe,it could succeed.

The number of terrorist attacks have gone down dramaticly
Civilian deaths in Iraq are down 36%
We have detained and caught a lot of terrorists on a daily basis.
I really do think we can win this war. If the media would stop letting their own political agenda cloud the actual news, maybe the American people would see that this war is not a lost cause and we can win.

I still think we are trying to grow roses in the desert and the surge is just more water and fertilizer. When the US leaves, the garden will die and go back to what it always has been.

lol @ "the surge occurred and the dangerous men had been defeated". Riiiight. however sure, a majority of american citizens had been in opposition to the iraq battle considering it used to be a useless one and we had been lied to approximately "why" we needed to invade.

I think the terrorist want it to fail, so do the democrats; funny how they have so much in common.
I like to say "Evil hides it's self in good deeds".
Here is a fine example.
If we leave Iraq un-finished, like the democrats want and the terrorist.
The Democrats will be seen as heroes, because none of our soldiers will be getting killed over there.
But then this will let the terrorist concentrate all their resources to kill us all here in the states, just like they are doing now in Iraq.
So who is the real evil.

From all reports, it seems to be making progress. But, let's wait until Sept for the General's report.

We must give it time (Sept) to determine if it is working or a waste. Then, we should act accordingly.
