We're both over 25.

We met a few years ago online and have met in person.

We've kept in contact but will go months at a time without speaking. Well, after a year of no contact, he called me like every night last week. He missed one night of calling and then last night, he called and told me out of the blue that he wants to marry me in two years.

I was shocked and would have married him when we first met. I didn't think he felt that way about me. He's been hinting over the years about marriage in general, but last week he was talking more about it and even said he's ready to settle down. I didn't think much of it and then last night he just came out and said it.

I don't know what my question is... I suppose is it normal for a guy to suddenly realize he wants to spend the rest of his life with a girl?

He has his own place, his own business, no kids, and never been married. He also lives 2 time zones away!

Yes, oh yes..... Im a grandmother to a beautiful 18 month old grandson. Its completely different to being a parent.
Are you a grandparent too?
What do you enjoy about your role?
How do you feel it's different to just parenting?
(Please don't take 'just' to mean I think parenting is ever easy or straightforward!)

couldnt you just love peace, or maybe think that war isnt necessary in that particular situation. Maybe they just dont trust the leadership. war only destroys nations, and is never good for them. perhaps we have too much propaganda and fear, to believe war is ever a good thing..."if we fight over there we dont have to fight over here" ...yeah and our grandchildren will be fighting. i just believe the previous generation should try to clean up their messes before handing it down to generation after generation.

I have very long, thick hair -- past my hips, and was wondering how other women kept their hair clean in the short amount of time allotted for showers -- particulary in boot camp / Marines. I'm considering whether or not I can join.

And I CANNOT cut my hair as the length of my hair is due to my beliefs.

I just reached Level 6 today! It has taken me nearly a year (Aug 6, 2006). I can't even imagine making it to Level 7. (But I'll try).

How about you? What Level? When did you start here?
AND does it even matter to you?

I don't know why it matters to me.... Just a silly little goal. LOL

My bf and i have 3 kids together ages 8 ,4,and 2.We met senior year of highschool dated went through all kinds of drama including pregnancy miscarriage broke up twice before ending for good . A year later while he had a gf and i was depressed/lonley we had a fling the result of which is our eldest son.For a year we tried to make it work and get it all together but failed.Few months before my 25 birthday we met up again for a chat because i had just moved back to our home state. He wanted to be more involved with our son's life and we started talking more became friends. We started dating again casually and have been together 4.5 yrs straight ever since getting married.I still wonder what if i had not had that fling with him or not gotten pregnant would we still have gotten together?I feel so much guilt sometimes what if the girl he was dating during our fling was better for him than i am they were friends for years before they dated?Am i crazy?

Why do people feel the need to spend so much time and energy bashing the hell out of the McCann’s? Its such a tragic situation that no one would wish on anybody.

Is it because their own lives are so dull and sad that they get pleasure out of kicking other people?

Is it because they are deeply inadequate in their work / home life and with no power over anyone or anything that this gives them a feeling of power and superiority?

Is it something in there physiological make up? The same people slow down to watch car accidents (rubber necking).

I would love to hear a Physiologists view.

OK this is kind of embarrassing but here goes: I read this guide to buying bras, and I tried a bra on and bounced too much when I was jumping up and down like it said to. So then I went to padded w/underwire, but I still bounced. What next?

As several anime lovers know, Yoroshiku is a Fansub group that puts subtitles and other useful tidbits onto episodes in the show 'Kekkaishi.' The group does a very good job, and I applaud them. But I am curious as to if there's a site that says when each episode will come out 'fansubbed.' Thanks!

I've been playing guitar for a little over a year. I'm not that bad, but I know that there's always room for improvement, especially after only one year of playing. Now, I know that in this case, the best way to get better is practicing (am I right? If I'm not, then what is?)...however, as it goes, 80% of your practice time brings you only about 20% of your total progress, and 20% of your practice time brings you only about 80% of your total practice (Pareto's Principle). So...what exactly should I be practicing? What techniques? What should I be playing? What should I be aiming for? Thanks to anybody that helps...

I know this is a topic some people are passionate about... just give us your opinion without too much rhetoric. Perhaps you feel Bush is responsible for the death of a loved one... that would be tragic, but try to remain civil. It's just a question.

Okay My Boyfirend and me have been dating for a year almost and everything was going good. we were happy and we loved each other and we were committed to each other. but about a month ago. i found out he had feelings for guys, but now our realtionship is going down. he rarly calls me and when i'm online he doesn't talk to me and if i talk to him he gets pissed. he stop telling me things, like we used to have a day were the t.v. would be off and we would talk about EVERYTHING and now he'd rather watch t.v. or go out with friends. he gets mad when i forget the smallest things and it seems we always pick fights. he blames all the fights on me and never on him and the next day everything is fine between us. he says. i always tell him how i feel but if he doesn't like the topic he ends the converastion. he acts different and not him self.he says he loves me and he NEVER wants to lose me but he's acting like he does wanna lose me. do you think it's time for me to move on to someone better
