couldnt you just love peace, or maybe think that war isnt necessary in that particular situation. Maybe they just dont trust the leadership. war only destroys nations, and is never good for them. perhaps we have too much propaganda and fear, to believe war is ever a good thing..."if we fight over there we dont have to fight over here" ...yeah and our grandchildren will be fighting. i just believe the previous generation should try to clean up their messes before handing it down to generation after generation.

Because most people on Y/A ask that question with an insult to either people who support the actions in Iraq or towards the President. The non loaded questions I've seen asked, where a person is simply asking "Why are we in this war" have gotten well written and fair responses, along with a few insults. If you don't want those replies, don't load your question.

What? Try coming over to the real world. War is about money. We are a capitalist nation....money. Yea, they want us to live in fear. Why? Control. Why? Money.

It would be nice if everyone viewed the world as Ms. America. Do you actually think doing whats right for the other guy is EVER going to be any governments policy? Why, that might threaten control!

And the people making big the messes (environment, world hunger, global warming, etc.) are the elite few, and their children and their children's children will never have to worry about cleaning up any mess, thats left to the poor and middle-class to deal with.

No one likes war. Your statement that war only destroys nations and is never good for them is simply false. The world cannot stand by and watch cruel dictators torture and murder their own citizens, or stand by and let them invade their neighbors.

We can use hindsight and say we shouldn't have gotten into this war, and we could also use hindsight to say we should have went to war sooner. Saddam should have been taken out 20 years ago. Darfur should have been stopped a long time ago. Hitler should have been stopped sooner. Stalin and Lenin. Mao. If anything, you could make a good argument that the world is too slow to go to war.
