Why do people feel the need to spend so much time and energy bashing the hell out of the McCann’s? Its such a tragic situation that no one would wish on anybody.
Is it because their own lives are so dull and sad that they get pleasure out of kicking other people?
Is it because they are deeply inadequate in their work / home life and with no power over anyone or anything that this gives them a feeling of power and superiority?
Is it something in there physiological make up? The same people slow down to watch car accidents (rubber necking).
I would love to hear a Physiologists view.

Fairness and justice - that’s a matter for the Police, the Courts and the legal process. Why do we always have to be judge and jury? If a crime has been commented then I am sure they will be dealt with. Can you think of a worse punishment than the loss of a child? Do you think they don’t care about that every night and day for the rest of their lives, whatever they have done? Are you sure you know ALL the facts to convict them in trail by media?

What has a 'physiologist' got to do with it?? Learn the correct term before you have a pop.
I think you will find that I wish for the McCanns to be brought before a judge on charges of child neglect. Why? Because they recklessly left 3 children, none of which are school age, to fend for themselves in an unlocked room.
Would you leave your wallet in an unlocked room while you are on holidays? No. Well then why your children.
I would like to know why you feel that after what the McCanns did to ALL of their children that night, they should escape having to face justice.
Remember the only victim here is Madeleine. Gerry and Kate are not victims. They are still here. They are still healthy. They are also £1 million better off than they were 2 months ago.

This I have to answer.....No its not because our lives are dull...mine quite the contrary in fact.....I don't get a kick out of kicking people when they're down either....
I am at the top of my Profession so no not unhappy at work...my home life is great been happily married to the same man for 27 years. We have 2 grown daughters both in full time professional jobs, one a manager the other just a year left to her Degree....
I also have NEVER rubber necked but then as a Nurse have seen all I need to see first hand up close and personal so not not that either....
So what is it about me and people like me who "bash" the Mccann's..............
We don't trust them!
We don't believe they've told the truth from day 1,
We think they should be looking for little Maddy rather than looking for their next opportunity to get their face on TV.....
Do we feel for them....yes through their daughters eyes...not there's....
Finally we also feel they should be held responsible for leaving the children alone that fateful night instead of justifying it and themselves.....
Let me ask you something....if I may?....what is it about you that make's you like them so much?
Their parenting skills? their honesty? their compassion? their humility?
I wonder what a Psychologist would make of you? I personally think those who stand for the Mccann's do so because they feel so sorry for the little one....this is well justified...WE ALL DO....we just don't think well of her parents.....it does NOT mean we wish her anything but a safe return....I have never read on here anyone saying they wish different especially the anti-Mccann's but we do have the psyche to read through the Bull and see what sort of people they are.......

While I can understand, although I don't support, the idea of neglect, I cannot understand the venom that is shown to parents.
And yes, it is an obsession with some people. And the original point gets lost, and the sense of outrage grows as they examine each and every aspect of the McCann's lives and take offense at it.
Do people really need to express such outrage because Kate McCann holds her child's toy cat? So what if they visit the pope. Do we really need to examine Kate McCann's hair, or the size of her neck or her thin nose?
And why the obsession with the blog? Who really cares what Gerry says? Do we need to examine the spelling mistakes, etc. And so what if he isn't your cup of tea? Really, what has made people decide he is a murderer?
But of course, right is on their side because "we are on the side of Madleine, not the parents ad we pray her for safe return."
Actually, to trash people just because you can, isn't right.
In my opinion, if you've got a problem with "neglect" then stick to that point.

People will form an opinion when it is put out there for us to judge. The reason some knock the McCann's is because they left their young children alone which no matter how that is looked at was wrong and the proof of their actions is clear for all of us to pass our judgements. It isn't rocket science!

After the second paragraph i have come to the conclusion that your life must be sadder than mine since i find this question uttterly boring ...
And physiology is the processes of the human body.
"Some physiological studies are concerned with processes that go on within cells such as phagocytosis, the process by which cells engulf and usually digest particles, bacteria and other microorganisms, and even harmful cells. The physiology of cells is called cell physiology.
Other physiological studies deal with how tissues and organs work, how they are controlled and interact with other tissues and organs and how they are integrated within the individual.
Yet other physiological studies deal with how we respond to our environment. For example, to extremes of temperature (in arctic conditions versus the desert), to changes in pressure (deep under the ocean versus weightless in space), etc." .
If you mean the human mind its psychology ;-)

Why do people feel the need to spend so much time and energy bashing the hell out of the people who refuse to have compassion for anyone but Madeleine. Its such a tragic situation that no one would wish on any child.
Is it because their own lives are so dull and sad that they get pleasure out of ignoring child neglect for what it is?
Is it because they are deeply inadequate in their work / home life and with no power over anyone or anything that this gives them a feeling of power and superiority to not have feeling for children who should have been kept safe?
Is it something in there physiological make up? The same people who don't want to get involved when they know a child is being neglected.
I would love to hear a Physiologists view.
NOTE::: those of you that do have real compassion for the parents and you know who I am refering to...Saturn, Faith, Lexy. and others who know how to disagree respectfully..this is not in anyways geared towards you. This is just another question to bash people for their opinion which they are entitled to.

Yup, ftsefutures, they do sound scary, don't they?! I couldn't understand where all the venom came from either, but now realise the informative posts that don't dabble in spite, mostly stem from outrage & concern for Madeleine, which then makes it understandable.
Edit: Thankyou kindly Ladybugs!

I think we are all waiting and hoping for some news or other about Madeleine and wish we would stop the debate about the parents,as it only causes fights.
You have stirred up a hornet's nest here,so don't be surprised at hard answers.

well i suppose there are elements to that, but from my own point of view its about fairness and justice and questions need to be asked/debated/argued whatever, about the situation. If the situation had occured in this country, the couple would have been investigated by social services and the police for neglect, but at the moment, the very opposite is happening to the couple, they are being treated as heroes etc. The media seem to be only reporting one side of the situation and not questioning their actions, in the way that you see played out in papers like the Daily Mail every week, usually about parents on housing estates living on benefits. People feel there is unfairness about the way the couple are being treated. No one would wish for anyones child to be taken, but when that situation happens from the parents own actions, I believe the public find it hard to separate those actions from the consequences for the parents.

As time goes by its obvious to everyone that these people are the real losers as they have lost their child and dont know what has happened to her and as parents whether they let on should be feeling very responsible...
but they didnt help themselves or anyone else..I read some of the inital suspicions people had about their reactions and it wasnt until I saw the interview with ITN Mary Knightingale that I saw how deliberately they avoided a very simple question to avoid responsibility about leaving her alone and that is something no parent would do knowingly in an interview after your own child is missing...they could have watered the fire by toning down some of the uneccessary media attention and perks or using that to highlight the fact they made a serious error of judgement and are doing their best to find their daughter...and recognising the problem of child exploitation a bit earlier on as a cause and not on the end of their own campaigning...
...I have heard to many campaigning ideas from the Team to think that the real hope lie in the police investigations...their holiday has been a disaster not because some perp made of with their daughter just that their abscence would have played a part in the whole affair or else how do explain the tens of thousands of families who go on holiday and return with their children..why isnt it a more common occurence...
...and who are you to judge people who are entitled to their opinions...
