OK this is kind of embarrassing but here goes: I read this guide to buying bras, and I tried a bra on and bounced too much when I was jumping up and down like it said to. So then I went to padded w/underwire, but I still bounced. What next?

You may just be a bouncy girl. If you're not "small" you're going to always bounce, and there's nothing wrong with that. As long as you're not spilling out of your bra, then it's fine. Guys like a little bounce...that's why Baywatch was so popular...

The bra size calculator most places SUCK, especially the online ones.

Either go to JCPenney, Sears, or Nordstroms (not Victoria Secret as they suck at sizing) and get sized.

Or

measure around your chest under your breasts. Round up to the nearest inch and add four if its an even number and five if it is an odd number. that is your BAND size.

measure around the chest across your nipples at the widest points of your breasts. subtract the first number from the second.

a 1" difference is a A, 2" is a B, 3" is a C, etc.

Now, that size may differ since bras are not standardized. For example, I'm a 38C in one bra, and a 38DD in another bra.

So shop around until your breasts don't jiggle.

BTW, I was a 38J and they DO make bras that do not make you bounce like crazy! The bras are nice and snug, not too tight nor too loose. So to say "they'll always bounce" is untrue.

Try a Light Sports Bra. Not too Tight, and Comfortable to wear. They hold Back to the Chest more than a Conventional Brassiere. Remember, if you are Well-endowed, you can't Stop Bounce, and most of those Instructions are written around a B-C.

Its kind of difficult - but being umm well endowed myself - the best piece of advice I could give to anyone is to suck it up and go to a lingerie store & get properly measured.Padded bras if your already "gifted" only make that whole bouncing thing worse - trust me on this one!! Underwires are good - but only if your wearing the right size.
The sales associates are trained to help get you into a bra thats comfy and fits RIGHT.
Good luck

Usually a minimizer bra or sports bra will help. It really depends on your cup size. If you are too big (over D) then you may not find a suitable sports bra.

If your big busted you can't contol all the jiggling. You should ask for help buying a bra from lingerie department employees. Or, you could try something made for better support. Try IPEX at Victoria's Secret.

You probably need to find a better quality bra, and get fitted to make sure you get the right size.

Go a size or two smaller. That means the bra is too big.
