Three top brands. I like the new Dells with an alloy case and most of the top options. I do not like their customer service though.

In terms of a windows based operating system....I would probably say HP or Toshiba. But it depends on what is important to you and what you will be using the computer for.

I currently have 2 dells and am unhappy with both. the customer service is not good at all.
My sister has a toshiba which works great. I have no experience with HP laptops, but I love their desktops....their quality and customer service are pretty good.
