Anyone here ever go up to the top of Qumran and take the Essene vow?

Fiction and Non-Fiction both works. I don't really need the information, as long as its interesting and a good read. Books on the ETO are preferable, but any aspect of the war is OK.

My sister who is older than me, is having a baby at the first of Nov. Right when she told us I said I want to throw her baby shower. We tentatively set the date for sometime in Sept.
Now, within the past two weeks me and my husband have decided to move cross country. He got a great job offer and they want him to start Aug. 6. My sister knows this, but she dosen't want to have her shower before Aug. 25. I was suggesting Aug 11. Her reasoning is that they are fixing up their house with new windows, doing the baby's room and her husband works a lot.

BUT, the way I see it is the shower is not going to be at their house so it dosen't have to be ready, there's plenty of room at our parents house to keep the presents, and her husband works 24hrs on and 48hrs off so what's the problem.
The issue is that me and my son will have to fly back and spend hundreds or live here for another month which puts back me getting job up there. What do I say to her without sounding insensitive?

My hair is natural curly with tight curls but I have hair down there that`s long&straight.Is that strange? .I never shave it because its what I was waiting for when I hit puperty years ago.The pubic hair sheds almost everyday when I take a bath. My mom thinks its not normal.Is it not normal? esp girls please help.Please no insults because of my hair.

I have read somewhere that John Kerry is the most liberal Democrat in the senate, and John Edwards is named as the fourth most liberal. Is this true?? If this is the case, how could two senators who are so dangerously left manage to win the Democratic nomination in '04? And, if they were in control today, how would the US be different?

I have heard that in some of the casinos in Las Vegas you can actually live in an apartment inside the Hotel/casino on the strip. Ive heard that alot of the big casinos on the strip have like residential floors where you can live and enjoy the ammenties of the hotel. Is this just for senior citizens or can anybody do this. I worry about food prices rising up and healthy foods being even less affordable to the poor and needy...

What is your opinion of fuels possibly being made out of the parts of crops that we can't eat (i.e. corn cobs, banana peels, orange peels, apple cores) or the sun-spoiled crops that nobody can end up eating?

I seriously think I have a problem. I'm not slutty or anything like that. It's just that when I'm around men all I can think about is sex. I seriously had to stop dating because every guy I would meet I would want to have sex immediately.

In today's CHristian music, do you think we are sugar coating the truth sometimes? (im a little frustrated with today's Christian songs)



Also, while sharing The Truth with some non Christians and former Christians, do we ourselves sugar coat Christianity?


I mean I'm not saying we should force things down people's throat, cuz thats not what Jesus would want us to do and thats not what he did either when he was around

Buf if we earnestly and genuinely reach out to non Christians and former Christians and share the Truth and leave it at that, don't you think that's enough? It would just light a spark or bring some curiosity

If we just talk to them and pray and let God do his work in them, then I believe we have done our jobs and welcomed another person into our Christian family

Isn't terrorism more of an immediate threat than global warming. I believe that global warming is real, and I realized we have not been attacked since 9/11/01. but terrorism, to me, is more dangerous at the moment. Especially in light of recent events in the UK.

So I ask, is global warming a higher priority than terrorism.

I was 17 when I had my son with my high school sweetheart! We have been separated for about 5 months now. The baby has my last name (oh and by the way is 5 yrs. old) and no father listed on the birth certificate! I should say that this guy is very emotionally, verbally, and physically abusive. I just wanted to know that once his paternity test is run... can they make me change the babies last name? And also any advice on how to get out of this would be great. I would much prefer for him to stay out of our lives. He doesn't pay me child support and never has! And I would much prefer to keep it that way. He has hit my son in the face and I just want him to stay away from both of us. Thanks!!
