I eat eggs..... but do not indulge in the flesh or things with gelatin in them because that is just disgusting when I found out what it was. It is different for each.... just as some meat eaters don't eat anything but fish.... or some don't eat red meat but will eat other meat... and some eat everything... and some eat just red meat and are waiting for a heart attack...
just depends because everyone is different.

Not all vegetarians are the same. Some vegetarians will eat fish and claim that it isn't really meat, others won't eat anything that was once a living being with thoughts of it's own. Eggs that we eat were never fertlized, so you could argue that it isn't on the vegetarian-no-no-list since it wouldn't have ever been alive or had a chance to be. Others say it was meant to be a living thing, and therefore is meat. It depends on the individual's ideas of the matter.

I am an Lacto-ovo vegetarian - and there is no guilt here. It is what works best for me...though I do get tired of others (mainly hard core vegans) who come down on me.
I ease my concious by only purchasing eggs and cheese that have come from free range and loving it animals.
OVO= I have no problem eating eggs. I do not do it all the time, (as I want to stay away from alot of animal protein - as it causes inflammation in my heart) and I do have some egg replacement in the cupboards that I use...
However, I am not anal-retentive about it. There are some recipes that just can't handle egg replacement.
LACTO= I actually drink rice and almond milk, enjoy soy ice cream, and use creamy tofu in place of cream cheese in recipes. HOWEVER, I simply refuse to give into vegetarian cheese! It is nasty to my taste buds!
I know that alot of vegetarians and vegans would disagree with me...but the bottom line is how I feel about my diet. I am doing what pleases me, and keeps me in line with my beliefes.

most do, yes. the term "vegetarian" USUALLY means lacto-ovo vegetarian. This means a person who eats no flesh or meat, but does eat eggs, dairy, chese, because these do not require slaughtering an animal.
Those who do not eat eggs or dairy call themselves VEGAN.
Eggs is not considered killing an animal, because most commercial eggs (as far as I know) are unfertilized. Therefore they never would or could, under any circumstanses, turn into a baby chicken.

As a vegetarian I wouldn't eat them, but some do! Milk and butter are ok as a veggie, but the egg is an unborn chick .

Yes some do, but others don't. An ovo-lacto vegetarian and flexitarian will eat eggs. Lacto vegetarians and Vegans won't eat them because they could have been baby chicks.

Some do, some do not. I do. As long as they are cage-free, I don't believe they are ethically or environmentlly un-friendly. The chickens exist and they will always produce eggs and a lot of these eggs would never turn into baby chicks anyway, so I don't see the harm.
