I keep getting folks that have good intentions but they reveal themselves. They say I am nuts because I follow Stargate. How do they know what is in Stargate? I refuse to watch any thing on TV or the movies. Apparently the audiences the networks claim to have are accurate. My suggestion to escape college is graduate your mind. Throw away you cap and gown. Eat your diploma.

My husband and I went to IKEA yesterday to get some ideas. We found A LOT of things we want and I was wondering if anyone has any furniture from IKEA? What do you have? Do you love it or hate it? What do you like or dislike about it?

We are thinking about using IKEA for our kitchen re-do as well as a family room and bedroom.

Oh...and how are the dishes and pots and pans?

Thanks for any info!!

I have an antique vienna wall clock trying to find out type and value. Looks familure to gustav becker clocks. Mantle piece on top has a distinctive lians head (circle) protruding in center of wood plus it has a picture of what looks like a nun or a biblical woomen in center of primary peak (in Mantle) I estimate that it is from 1880-1900 time frame. Anyone heard of such design? or know of anyone who may, can send picture.

1. When solids are dissolved in a liquid the solid take up the spaces between the liquid molecules. If I have 2 containers and I dissolve 50grams of salt in one and 50 grams of sugar in the other, which container would provide your aluminum block with a greater buoyancy force (assume both completely dissolve)?
2. If quick sand is really just sand suspended in water would you expect a person to sink like they do in the movies? (Hint: you can think about this as if the sand was dissolved in the water to good approximation).

1.Suppose Spaceman Spiff flies his spaceship into Lake Superior on Wednesday, August 23rd 2000. The spaceship is 234 kg and, due to its air tight protective forcefield we can consider it to be a sphere (volume = (4/3)πR3). When Spaceman Spiff flies into Lake Superior he floats with only the small caution light floating (negligible mass) above the surface. What is circumference of the spaceship in cm? Remember that the circumference of a circle is 2πR.

why people (don't) believe?

really, every now and then, i get astonished by this. like sometimes i just can't fathom why it is that someone would believe in a higher being.

have any other atheists ever thought this?

or have any believers out there ever been unable to fathom why someone wouldn't believe?
