Well not a conservative myself I will continue to bash Rottenham Clinton. I suppose that the Repubs have eased up because they would rather run against Rottenham Clinton than anyone else. She is a sure loser in a general election.

Everyone needs to wake up. Politics are nothing more then a business. If you can not see the marketing game that both parties play then shame on you. hillary (refuse to capitalize her name) is a joke, hell almost all that run are jokes. But since all most Americans care about is the sports page or reality TV then we get what we deserve. I love the political figures we have today that follow poor economic policy and pass poor laws and provide poor world leadership. Come on Bill Clinton getting a bj in the oval office how disrespectful to the office of the President and the United States. That is a high school boy stupid mistake, and we (well not me) elected that baffoon into office. Not that GB is much better. I suggest that we all read and understand history, econocmics, law, and other aspects of politics before you step foot in a voting booth.

As a senator, Hillary has worked across party lines with an amazing record of success. For example, she worked closely with Tom Delay on legislation re foster children. So those who bashed her in the past are less likely to do so now. Smart and effective -- and working together like this, some good stuff done.

You have your mind made up so why ask. To answer your question they are. Both parties bash the other. The reason that it is not really bad now is that she is not the only canadate. Try educating yourself and you will realize that politice are a dirty business. Here is a quote for you. Guess who said it. If at 18 you are not a liberal you have no heart. If at 40 you are not a conserative you have no brain. Hint (TJ)

It's two reasons
Number one has already been stated a number of times here. The GOP feels that she would push voters away. Many people, myself included, feel as though she is too far left of the mainstream. And I feel that she did not earn her position of power. I feel as though she married for political reasons, not for love. Rode Bill's popularity to acquire her own, then ran for senate in one of the bluest of blue states. And she even had to run Rudy off with sex charges to make sure she won. That record right there would push more voters away. About the only public figure more divisive than Bush is Hilary.
The other reason is that she is not percieved as the front runner anymore. Obama is. Obama has the most personality of any Democrat running for prez since Bill Clinton. He is smart and articulate. And is backed by the Daley political machine out of Chicago.
Obama's only draw back is similar to one of Hilary's. He really didn't earn his Senate seat either. He won becuase the Chicago Tribune ran an article about Obama's chief rival, Jack Ryan. The article was about Ryan's divorce. Both Ryan and his ex-wife wanted the divorce paper's private, but a corrupt judge decided to open them and released them to the Tribune. The public embarassment caused Ryan to drop out and Obama ran virtually unopposed. (Note: I am not accusing Obama of being behind this. I sincerely doubt that he had anything to do with it. I believe the Ryan situation was the Daley machine's doing. I believe that if Obama really wants to win, he needs to distance himself as much as he can from Chicago politics.)

Cuz they are hopefully more concerned about getting things done than being critical of others who do nothing for America.

No, I don't think so. Possibly they have come to realize that Hillery is unelectable and their interests would best be served if they clammed up and hope she gets the nomination.
