During one of my martial arts classes we had a guest instructor teach us Iaijutsu.

As I was holding the sword it seemed like there was a spiritual connection with it. I felt like it was an extension to my body and spirit.

Inside it felt like - "with this I can take a life - I must wield it with honor, respect, and morality."

Is this weird or do swords have some sort of spiritual significance?

Apostles wrote what they experienced with Jesus. It doesn’t matter when they wrote it, what matters are that they recorded important information about Christ. If you find what they wrote unbelievable then simply say that, but it is reckless and irresponsible to deny that these men recorded what they experienced. You say we Christians have no foundation for our faith. That is not true; we have the records of these credible Apostles and the Prophets. And they dovetail perfectly. THAT gives our FAITH… SUBSTANCE! And we experience that substance transforming to evidence daily!

If it sounds too fantastic for you, just be straightforward and say you don’t believe the supernatural aspects but don’t stoop to ignore the work these men put in. Is this too much to ask?

This year for a production that I 'm in at college the theme is going to be the wild/animals. The group is a lyrical dance group and I am planning on choreographing a number for our group but I'm having a difficult time finding a song that both fits the theme, is age level appropriate, and that I like. Any suggestions??

It is a black spider with a series of white dots on its back. It looks like a black widow except, instead of red, it is white. It does not appear to have any hair, so i do not think that it is a jumping spider. I was wondering if anyone had any idea of what kind of spider this could be?

My live in is in the hospital with 5 badly broken ribs and a bruised Lung. They had him on oxygen at a level 6. Late last night his oxygen level fell to 50%. and they had trouble trying to keep him awake. His heartbeat was soaring also. They took him to UIC.
I can't seem to get a straight answer from the nurses as to "why" he dropped as he did.
What is the danger he faced at only breahing at 50%? Although they have now got his oxygen level back, is there any long term effect? He was acting a tad strange today, and I'm not sure if it was my imagination. Sorry spellcheck isn't working, and I'm to tired to think!!

Obviously it is still expensive, but it seems to me that a virtual border might fare better than a physical fence that can be jumped over or tunneled under while no one is around to see... what do you think?

I was in the grocery store yesterday and this kid (about 12) was zooming around on those skate shoes, only semi-under control of herself. As she started careening toward me, I aimed the cart in her direction (just to scare her a little), but stopped just short of hitting her. Is that wrong?

My child doesn't go to church. I'm agnostic, my wife Buddhist, both sides of the family vary from Catholic to Southern Baptist to Buddhist. All are very respectful with their various beliefs. Nobody in my family pushes their religion on others.

Our daughter gets quite a few religious toys and books from our former babysitter's mother. They're close to us, sort of extended family since our families live far away. I personally don't mind the toys, but the motivation behind such gifts is because we aren't religious. It seems to me it's less about giving the gift, and more about getting the religious influence in my daughter's life.

Personally, I couldn't care less. I'll have more impact, my family's various faiths will have more impact, than some lady pushing religious toys on my daughter. It just seems a bit disrespectful, like an attempt to usurp our parental guidance she doesn't agree with.

What are your thoughts/opinions on such acts?

Gorden Brown is a Freemason too!?
Another "link" between the McCanns and Freemasonary? Why would Gorden Brown personally telephone Gerry McCann and say he would give him any pratical or personal help?

"The UK's Independent newspaper, reported that in the UK the Masons were an organization 800,000 strong, represented at the top of the police force, in the government, the House of Lords, the high court, banking, the boardrooms of the largest companies and every part of the establishment.

Gordon Brown is reportedly a freemason.

One lodge recruits only from the Ministry of Defense, among high-ranking officers, and the senior management of the arms industry."
