what does everyone think about the smoking ban starting 1st of july? i have heard alot of people say most people will not quit and some others say people will begin to smoke more indoors around children etc.

i just had shoulder surgery and for some reason pain killers dont effect me much....morphine does absolutely nothing for me (i had gall bladder surgery last year and it didnt help), vicodin also does not help. my surgeon gave me oxycodone but that is not doing much either. I believe its a form of morphine, which would explain why it isnt working. Does anyone know of a pain killer that is not in the morphine or vicodin family that might be more effective?

Of course i'm tlakinga bout the DECENT ones who jsut came illegally because they are poor.
Not the criminal past illegals who were denied of criminal pasts.
And i'm not talking about the ones who want Cali. and New Mexico back.

I'm talking about the ones who are actually willing to learn english and work hard to become a citizen but the gov. is denying them papers because they are poor and cannot afford.

Okay, this isn't about getting you all angry!

I work in Florida and our mechanic was resting one day and saw that I was eating an Avocado salad. He asked "that's your lunch?" I told him I was a raw vegan and he bluntly said "Can't live without my meat and taters"

To make a long story short, last week he had a heart attack and he's only 40 years old!~

Now what do you think of your meat and taters?

I live near the woods and i have a small jack russel/beagle mix female, the other day i was petting her and noticed a small bug walking around on her paw, my first thought was crap a tick and rushed to get a tissue to pull it out.
when i got back to my dog the bug was gone so i did was i noramlly did and moved away her hair looking for the 'tick' whenever i found it, it moved quickly burrowing under her other hairs and i kept chasing it but couldnt get it out (it wasnt attached it just kept moving rather fastly)
so i went to get my father who saw it, said it wasnt a tick but didnt know what it was becuase it moved so fast, finally we got it off her but then it fell and we dont know where it went, my dad said to look up what bugs might live on dogs and move fast. so this is what it looked like, can anyone tel me what it was and if its dangerous
very small and oval shaped, light brown, very fast, NOT a tick, didnt have any visible legs of course it was very small though. please help

3 years ago at the age of 38 I woke up and realized I was extremely overweight. 5ft10in, 232 lbs, size 18. I also realized how I limited my activities because of so many things I couldn't do. I decided needed to make some drastic changes. I started eating a balanced diet, no fad diets for me, and exercise. When I started I could barely do a 2mile slow walk. And at 37 thats pathetic. I gradually went longer and faster, and after about a year I was able to run-well actually jog, 3and1/2 miles. I lost 62 lbs over the course of a year and a half. Slow and steady, I was told to take my time losing and it would be more likely to stay off.
Ok so I hit the weight of 170 a year and a half ago, and I am still there. I look good, but not great, somewhere between a size 8-10. I am pretty muscular, except for that dreaded stomache. I have tried mixing it up a little, added abs everyday, biking instead of jogging, etc. But I am stuck, any ideas.

we have opposite personalities and bicker all day long. he's really type a and i'm b, but at the end of the day we snuggle everynight watching tv and can't wait to sit together and unwind. we have great sex- but during the day i hate him and at night i love him more than anything. Any advice- its been 6 years and we both don't believe in a throw away marriage.
