Why do we need the government to pass laws instead of allowing business owners to make their own decisions? Why is my health so very important to the government? We are all here a very limited time anyways, should we not be happy and be able to pursue happiness?

Fred Phelps says the people who died in the 9-11 attacks 'deserved' it because they are 'fag-enablers' (his words) while Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson said God allowed the attacks to happen because of this country's supposed liberal attitude toward gays.

Why does the right always blame America first? Why not blame the terrorists?

Not cigarettes, alcohol or bad stuff like that.

More like eating lots pizza or run\exercise every spare moment you have or go through yahoo answers too much or reading books.

I think I'm addicted to green tea. I'm on my third cup. And I have another one brewing. It's not even 11 am yet. I don't drink the ready made ones. I brew my own, plain unflavored decaf green tea with a little splenda.

I play pogo.com games way too much. Sometimes I stay up way too late playing those games.

I obsessively crochet. I have a ridiculous amount of dollies, scarves, filet crocheted, blankets and other yarny type stuff. Yes I'm a crafter. And why won't my boyfriend let me crochet him a scarf?

I read on wiki

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tax_bracket#Tax_brackets_in_the_USA

That when you move up a bracket, they only charge you the higher rate for the income that falls in that bracket... like the first 8000 is charged 10% and then the second $8000 is charged the higher rate of 15%

So why do people always say put money into a traditional RIA to "move down a tax bracket"

all you are really doing is avoiding $5000 of your money taxed at the highest tax bracket you reach, not actually avoiding all your money from higher rates am I right?

She and I are the same size body except she is a bit thinner than I am. She wants her breasts enlarged to a C cup because she is in between sizes and has a hard time finding dresses and blouses that fit right, as well as finding a good-fitting bra even. I can empathize, we have always had a hard time finding clothes that fit us because we have very short torsos and wide hips. So I see her concern and how she feels that this would make parts of life easier for her. I've also heard that you can still breastfeed when you have implants, because she wants to have kids someday. She's done her research, but wants to know what I think as her sister. I'm not sure what to tell her, as I've always associated breast implants with a negative stigma. Should I tell her not to? Are there terrible risks? Or should I leave it up to her and say I don't have an opinion? I guess I just don't know enough about this kind of thing.

We live in an apartment building...a very unfortunate place when you have a two year old. We moved in when we got married, pre-baby. From the first week we were moved in, the lady downstairs has complained we make too much noise. She claims we were moving furniture around and waking her up at 3am, but at the time we moved in, we had no furniture! She has been up pounding on our door at least three times a week for almost three years. Now she is starting to complain about the noise our son makes. While I sympathize that having noise from upstairs can be hard to deal with, she has demanded that we tell our two year old to not run, not to play between the hours of 7pm and 9am, and that he not cry at all. It is a small apartment, and we can't afford to move. I take my son to the park as often as possible to get his energy out, but I feel that a toddler can't help but play, and he doesn't yet understand about disturbing people downstairs.

Is it "legal" for a wife and husband to check each other's email? I let him check mine, but he gets mad when I check his. His work email is always logged on so I can check anytime I want to. Today I just saw that he lied to someone in an email. How can I let him know about this lie without letting him know I've read his email?

Maybe I missed the civics lesson regarding characteristics of the vice presidency. To the best of my knowledge, the Vice President is a member of the government's executive branch, and the VP's role of president of the senate, was designed as an executive check upon the senate's powers. With this in mind, the VP would be a full-fledged member of the executive branch. I do not understand how Vice President Cheney can deny membership within the executive branch.
