Hardly any difference, of course.

Phelps, what very little I know of him, is indeed 'out there.' It seems as though Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell are heading in that direction.
I'm probably considered on the 'right', but don't blame America first. We have problems. I may be wrong, but I don't think this is God's divine judgment.

Most Christians did not share the views of Fred Phelps, Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson. They do not represent the masses...they are just the loudest amoung us.
I do blame the terrorist. The Bible says that satan is our enemy and he goes about as a roaring lion seeking what he may devour...he is out to bring destruction and death.
God's hand was at work on 9-11. It is a MIRACLE that so many lives were spared that day. It could have been 5 times worse than it was. So many stories of how someone was suppose to be in the building or area that day but didn't make it for some reason or another. So many stories of people who barely made it out.
The Bible also says that "All things work together for good, for those who love God and are called according to His purpose". I believe America is called by God to be a light to the nations. No matter what the enemy meant for 9-11 to be, God turned it around and at least for a season people who had not prayed in years or stepped foot in a church in years, found themselves doing so. There was unity in our nation that superceded political views and agendas, denominations, sexual preference, gender, race, anything.... we were united. There was a feeling of us being one nation under God, indivisable...

Robertson and Falwell have (had) better people skills. Phelps is small time because he tends to rub people the wrong way, even though his message is basically the same. Charm and the ability to be a good public speaker go a long way in this world.

Fred Phelps and Pat Robertson haven't got the courtesy to follow Jerry where they need to be. If hell did exist they are all great candidates for the lava swim.

Here is a newsflash for all of you who do not realize it:
The tv preachers that you hear all the time, loud and clear,
ACT as if they represent Christianity. THEY DO NOT REPRESENT CHRISTIANITY.
Jesus Christ represents Christianity; if you want to know
what the leader of Christianity has to say about being gay
or any other subject, go to Him, not some guy on tv.
Your statement, however, about the "right" always blaming
America first, is totally inaccurate, though. In fairness, I believe what the men were saying was that according to prophecy, in the end times, God will withdraw himself and let man completely to his own devices, which will inevitably cause a myriad of problems, because man when given carte blanche to do anything he wants, always ends up in a mess.
We are definitely in a mess. Look around you. Although
their statements have been completely blown out of proportion, i think thats what they were trying to say.
Remember about 15 years ago, when people were actually really upset about the Aids virus? What ever happened to that scare? Today, not only do we seem to forget how horrible a death it causes, but we even choose to TEACH FIRST GRADERS ABOUT HOW WONDERFUL IT IS TO HAVE TWO MOMMIES OR TWO DADDIES.
Never mind how NOT WONDERFUL it is to die a horrible, agonizing death at the age of 19. This is what happens when we are left to our own devices. Instead of handling the problem of Aids, we end up PROMOTING THE VERY LIFESTYLE THAT CAUSES IT. yep, we are very smart, huh?

Phelps is actually more honest because he doesn't mince words. The others dance around what they really want to say because they don't want to be labeled as outright bigots. Phelps doesn't care, he just says it and we all KNOW he's a horrendous bigot and racist. The others are wusses when it comes to saying what they really think. They are practicing their own brand of political correctness.

They sit atop their multi million $ mansions and "preach" right wing hate. They are today's Klansman,(don't forget the Klan also hung blacks with one hand while holding a bible in the other) and whats amazing and chilling is that their following is larger than ever.

I see no differences between these men at all. They are cut from the same self-righteous, hateful cloth. They are home-grown American terrorists.
