Yes; evidence is pretty overwhelming. Had it been faked the Russians would have been all over it.

Yes. Three important things were happening at the time.
The DOD had taken charge of space from academically oriented scientists. The nature of that did two things: It prevented one person from knowing what another person was doing (compartmentalization). It grew a massive civilian contractor base. Second, the cold war was in full swing. U.S. intelligence communities were growing resources (in the academies) to use in the war. Those resources included new technologies and methodologies for global use. The release of those technologies to the manufacturing (civilian) sectors was being controlled largely by the military.Third, domestic institutional and industrial alliances were being parlayed for best effect. One prominent tactic was disinformation. Politicians especially would describe a thing, but actually exactly the opposite was true.

So the information people received may have been a mix of truth and deception. The actual events, given that they took place, were screened, edited, and otherwise modified before they were passed into the public domain.

Our movie makers were hard at work creating sci-fi for us as well. No doubt some of those resources got mixed into the reporting and history of the events. Nothing is what it seems, exactly. My guess would be that more happened rather than less.

I think we did, because I've looked at the evidence. All the hoax arguments are seriously lacking and make no sense.

Let's take the flag as an example. It has a rod sewn across the top, as can be clearly seen when it is being put up and in several of the still pictures. It moves because the astronauts move it. Now to all those who say it is waving in the wind, I have this question that none have been able to answer: WHY would there be wind blowing the flag if it was filmed in a studio? WHY would NASA be so STUPID as to film something they say is taking place in a vacuum somewhere where wind will blow the flag? WHY does this 'wind' not pick up any of the dust that is kicked up by the astronauts with every single step they take?

Every other conspiracy argument is like that. It makes no sense.

nope the us government just spent hundreds of thousads of dollars to build a rocket, launch it, have it land, and then film a "fake moon" landing in a stuio wiht a moon that looks exactly like the moon we can see today. Yup that is exactl what happend it was all just a hoax to throw off the russians.

OK now that i am done wiht my sarcastic ranting I will get down to buisness. Yes we landed on the moon in 1969, yes we have gone back to the moon, and no the world was not created 600 hundred years ago. Science and history can be trusted sometimes, as can faith, but ignorance and stupidity should be thrown out as lazy *** annoyances.

There is not a lot of people who think we didn't. Only a few that post up websites and make these claims. We did. If it was a matter of faking, the Russians would have been there before us. Getting there first was a big deal to both the US and Russia (USSR). The number of people who would have had to been involved in such a forgery is amazing. Do you think we faked Apollo 13? Faked the near death of our astronauts and cut the confidence of people in NASA which ultimately led to the ending of the moon projects?

Yes, we really did land on the moon in 1969. Check out this astronomy question and answer site that debunks the conspiracy theories on this one.

Yes, astronauts from the US landed on the moon 6 times between 1969 and 1974. Please visit http://www.clavius.org for a comprehensive look at the evidence supporting that.

How else could they of left a special mirror on the moon which we ranged on it with a laser to determine more accurately . I was a group that did the ranging with some very good data.

Too many people would have been needed to cover it up had it been a fake. Some say the flag moved and it couldn't do that because there is no wind. How do they know what is there, have they been there? People flap their lips spouting facts they have no proof of and want us to take it for fact. If you want to disprove it do something more then say "I saw it on television".

Yes we did. The people that think we didn't are simply ignoring the evidence for the sake of controversy, as well as insulting the intelligence of those of us who spent a decade of our lives witnessing it.

We did, the evidence for vastly overwhelms that of the 'evidence' against.

People should stop belittling the acheivements of mankind and have a look at all of the evidence there is for it.
