My ex husband and I share(d) custody of my daughter and the original agreement says that each even year he claims her on taxes and each odd I claim her. At this time he was also seeing her 6 months out of the year. Now he has turned into a dead beat dad and hasn't seen her in almost 1.5 years and he expects to claim her this year.

My question is that since she hasnt' set foot in his house in so long nor does he pay any assistance does he have the right to claim her?
I don't want to mess up my taxes by assuming he's a total dead beat.

Thanks!

the older i get, the more i realize that i don't know half as much as i thought i should be knowing. i mean, when we were kids, you thought that you would have figured out the big answers by the time you were 18, and that our moms and pops knew all the answers - big or small!

but having become a parent myself, there are still large pockets of child-like thinking in my brain... so many areas i feel incompetent in.... so many things i don't know.

sounds pathetic, but i think i would still feel this way when i am 80!

anybody who has been there, done that, who can tell me whether this is a common disillusionment of adulthood? or i am one of those who just haven't acquired common wisdom that comes with age?

But let me ask you this, do you find many so called chrisitans judging you? Do you find a lot of them fude and offencive. I have a mental illness that I need to take medicaitons for as I have bi-polour which is horibble if you are not on the right medicaiton, as you can be depressed and cry, you can spew hate out of your mouth, you can yell a lot, you can stress out a lot, you think a lot about suicide, you put scars on your body so that your body is almost unreconisable, and yet I have these so called christians telling me to grow up and get over it. I find more compasion in this department of mental illness in atheists than christians, as all they do is judge. I am ashamed of most of the churches out there. So athiests how do christians treat you? Excuse me if I sould rude it is just I did not take my medication this morning as I am of and on with them and I need to take them everyday. I am tired of christians telling me and blaming me for my illness. If I were not on the meds at all

I had some money in a UK bank savings a/c earning 5.85% interest and paying 20% tax.

I have just now used it to buy some shares in Lloyds bank, earning 6% dividend and paying 10% tax. There are also good prospects rising income and capital appreciation. Surely Lloyds bank is safe enough and I can sell the shares and get my money back in 3 days, whenever I want..

Was it not a brilliant idea? You can do it also as long as you drink a toast to my good health.

and Science is man made and fallible?
why do Atheists argue they are "more right".
If this is how they think (without faith).
Many scientists have a theory one day and prove it to be wrong the next it has taken Science forever to the end result of fact whereas, facts change all the time as scientists grow in knowledge but faith and biblical fact and prophecy keeps presenting itself although has been written in black and white for all to tap into if they so choose to really learn it, and it takes some research but can be compared scripture to scientist and eventually (even in many Atheists and Scientists) to co-exist with each other. Science does support biblical truths, does it not?

Im 38 weeks almost 39 on Sunday. I have been dilated at 4cm since I was 36 weeks and lost my mucas plug then but the doctor said it could grow back. The past few days it appears that I have been loosing it again and I have these sharp pains across my lower back for short moments at a time could this be contractions? When I went to the doctors on Monday they said that my cervix had dropped which I guess is another step in labor and that was before I started to loose my mucas plug. Also yesterday I had soreness and leakage in my nipples which has never happened. I know my babys coming but does this stuff mean soon cause I dont want to go to the hospital and be sent home again? Also are my back pains contractions?

Okay, I've checked into this, and pretty much know the answer, but I'm curious if there are any loopholes. Basically, we're moving out of state, and would like to know if there is any way we can keep the mortgage/payment we have now, while using the proceeds from the house we're selling now to pay off the one we're buying free and clear.

From what I understand, we cannot keep the mortgage we currently have if we move, but I'm just curious if there is any way around this?

No study done on humans has shown any such thing, in fact, a massive study done on humans trying to see if there is any correlation between aspartame consumption and cancer, MS, and lupus found that it has absolutely nothing to do with getting those diseases. Everyone keeps going off of mice studies, when mice have different metabolisms than humans and the mice are given proportionally far more aspartame than humans would consume. Many substances are carcinogenic and mutagenic when in huge quantities like the ones given to mice, but are fine in moderation. So, why do people keep continuing the myth that consuming normal amounts of aspartame causes nasty diseases, when there is no statistically significant link going on?

My brother got a parakeet from petSmart about a year ago. He is VERY timid, and doesn't like people AT ALL. If you stick your hand in his cage he'll freak out, and we just don't know what to do with him!

We think it was because the person at petsmart used a NET to catch him with, and he just can't forget that. Are there any ways we can "bond" to help him get over his fear?

One of them was the pilot (of course), a young teenager, the President of the United States, the President of India, and the President of Africa.

So they are all carrying on their normal business when all of a sudden the plane starts going down. The pilot yells, "we only got three parachutes, you guys take them."

So, the President of Africa grabs his pack and jumps out, opening his shoot in the process.

Next, the President of India grabs his pack and jumps out, opening his shoot.

Finally the President of the US grabs his pack, and jumps out.

The teenage boy starts laughing, so the pilot says "What are you laughing at?" He says, the President just grabbed my backpack.
