Wait -- are you looking for prevention strategies, or you have a plan and are looking for funding? The two parts of your question seem to be at odds with each other ...
The kind of research/work you do affects the funding source to target.
Perhaps you're a graduate student wanting to do a study and fund it? Or writing a paper about Alzheimers (no follow-up work, just getting info)?

It is good that Mr. Bush vetoed federal research money for stem cell research. America will continue to fall behind the rest of the world, people will get needlessly sick and die of curable diseases and America will continue to suffer for its horrible stupidity in ever allowing a boob like Mr. Bush to become president even if the office was stolen for him by crooked Republican judges on the supreme ct. America either cures its problem (political churches, biased media, etc) or it goes under, its your choice.
