"Jack Bauer saved Los Angeles. ... He saved hundreds of thousands of lives," Judge Scalia said. Then, recalling Season 2, where the agent's rough interrogation tactics saved California from a terrorist nuke, the Supreme Court judge etched a line in the sand.
"Are you going to convict Jack Bauer?" Judge Scalia challenged his fellow judges. "Say that criminal law is against him? 'You have the right to a jury trial?' Is any jury going to convict Jack Bauer? I don't think so.

"So the question is really whether we believe in these absolutes. And ought we believe in these absolutes."

This is bizarre on two different levels;

1. Scalia is Mr "strict interpretation" of the constitution. There is no privacy because it doesn't state it, no wall of separation. An absolutist.

2. He uses a fictional TV show as an argument to ignore the law. Here's a Jack Bauer tidbit;

"Tell me where the bomb is or I will kill your son."


And this flake is on the SCOTUS.

why would a guy who makes suggestive comments to you, touches you, has sex with you, would suddenly want to behave themselves? but..once in a while would make a sexual comment, say they want to look and might want to touch, but when it comes to that point...they say they can't because they're trying to behave themselves? i'm really confused. any suggestions?

I have been thinking of my ex-husband a lot lately. I think that we need to sit down face to face and discuss our issues - how we want to handle our daughter, and next steps in life.

I wonder if he is also thinking of me.

We have both not been able to move on since the divorce.

I wonder if vibrations travel and that if you think of someone often they are also thinking of you.

I had surgery on May 26th to have a plate and 10 screws inserted because of a broken humerus. I had staples to close the incision and they were removed on June 8th. I then got steri-stripes to cover the incision until it was fully healed. The ends of the stripes are starting to peel off and it's fully scabbed over.

The lady i babysit for is an e.r nurse and she looked at my arm and said if I wanted to take them off, I probably could. I just wanted more opinions. So is it ok to take them off? Also, how do i take them off without ripping the scab off?

My life right now is really messed up. I'm 14 and have a pretty boring life. Nobody knows me at school. My dad caught me with marijuana and my mom thinks I'm a psycho. I feel very depressed and quit marijuana but I can tell that my dad still thinks I smoke. My friends constantly betray me and I feel sad about the way things are going for me. Everyone that I used to know is so much farther in life than I am. I'm thinking of running away to a youth hostel or something else. Please don't say talk to a counselor, I've been there and moved on. I need some real life solutions, talking isn't going to solve my problems.

If a woman keeps on having more and more kids, and continues to leech off the system should the government have the right to order a woman to get her tubes tied? Believe me I am all for personal freedom, with minimal government interference in our lives, but if a woman who is irresponsible and has kids uncontrollably continues to milk the system, that is not fair to the tax payers, plus later on in life the probably of her kids turning into thiefs and killers is increased because of bad parenting......what im trying to get at is, at what point does a government have the right to infrindge on this womans personal privacy because doesn't the government have to look out for us taxpayers?

My motherboard P4P800E have problem! can someone help me? Means that one memory channels (the blue slots) ist broken. To be exact, I can't get my 2 memory sticks run in dual mode, i.e. the second channel of the first pair (blue ones) is dead. However, my system works in the second bank, but I don't know if it is still in dualmode, as the first pair is supposed to be installed in the falty slot.

in my african cichlid tank, my ph is at about 7.8 and i need it at at 8-8.2 ph.
i have alkaline buffer which is what my fish store told me to use. it worked fine and all when i first set my tank up, and raised my ph from 7.4 to 8-8.2 after about 2 or 3 doses. its directions say, add 1 teaspoon full to each ten gallons daily until desired ph is reached, preferientially buffers at 7.8 but can manage any ph from that to 8.6
how much should i add to bring my 29 gallon african tank up from a 7.8 to 8-8.2?

also, someone at my fish store told me that they used a pinch of baking soda to raise there ph...any one ever done this before? is it harmfull to fish, and how much to add?

The holiness Christian faith believes women not are not to wear make up, style or cut their hair, must wear long dresses and keep their arms and legs covered. However other women from other Christian faiths dress much more liberal. Some wear tight pants to church with lots of cleavage showing. Some women will show their belly and the old tatoe on the back just above their butt when they are at church. I guess my question is this...in dressing should a man or woman dress extremely conservate or as a Christian woman can you just dress any way you please and just say "it isn't my fault those men were looking at my butt and boobs at church service"?

I myself believe in an inbetween. Not too conservative but not revealing to the point that it makes a man gauk at you.

OH YEAH...I just gotta make sure everybody understand I am just talking about how they dress while they attend Church services. I won't even ask how you feel about how to dress in everyday life.
