Yes, right now I feel like asking questions regarding sex. What's so wrong with that?

I am 18
My reasons are mainly religious, but I also don't want to have sex right now simply because I'm not willing to deal with all the emotional crap that goes with it.
I've seen tons of my friends have their lives really screwed up by sex (no pun intended). I don't want to end up like them: with broken relationships and hearts.
I'd rather just wait until I get married. It's easier, and my wife will be a lot happier.

Waited until I was 22 for a number of reasons:
1 - Too smart for that. Condoms break and don't protect from all diseases, and with the casual attitude towards sex, many people even at young ages have gross illnesses that are incurable.
2 - Didn't want to be a page in someones play book, or the subject of locker room talk. I heard things about girls I knew from their "true loves" that would have made them cry. Guys who get physical affection too commonly or easily view it as just that: Common and easy.
3 - I needed someone on my maturity level, which required sometime to find. I wanted my first time to be with someone I had a strong relationship with, who would be respectful and compatible with me.
4- It was really fun to never go through a pregnancy scare, have to get a rash checked out, or worry that a cold sore was herpes.......
5- Guys treated me way better than the girls they slept with. The girls who gave it up never stayed around longer than the hormones, I retained an air of mystery and was therefore more interesting in the long run.
The biggest issue I had was people always assumed it was a 'god' thing right off the bat. I found the idea of crossing legs and swapping gravy with someone who wasn't even out of highschool to be repulsive, even though I was the same age I though 'We're just kids...' Once I got interested in sex, I was not a prude in any way, but I would not engage in those acts. Now I'm very pleased, because I can wholeheartedly say I don't have a regret or any secrets.
Another thing that bothers me is the reaction I get when the topic comes up and people find out I didn't lose my virginity until last year. They usually say : "But you're so pretty!" or "But you always had boyfriends and guys had crushes on you" So only homely looking single people stay virgins?

State your age and reason for asking? I read your other questions and if there are things about sex you really want to know just spit it out!
I lost my virginity at 17. I was dating a special guy, I thought he was "the one" and we'd been together for 7 months. Some pressure from him, all my friends had done it so it happened. No fireworks, a little uncomfortable and I really couldn't understand what all the fuss was about! I did better on my own!
Yeah, we learned, but our immaturity caused us not to be able to speak freely about our needs and wants so it took a while to get it right. We dated 9 years but in the end did not have the same goals to work toward.

I am in my teens. My husband. i am a virgin because I know that it is the right thing to do. I am a Christian and the Bible says not to give your virginity away to just anybody. I am waiting for the special some one when I am married to him.
Yes I do know that half of marriages end in divorce. I am only going to marry some one that is a Christian like me so we share the same beliefs and can work things through. Thats also why I will make sure he is Mr. right

What's your problem? Did you give yours up young and now you are trying to rationalize it to make yourself feel better? You should know there are a bunch of nasty diseases and infections you can get by sleeping around. Some will kill you, others will stay with you forever. Not to mention the thoughts in your head about how, when, why, who you did it with. Some people want to look in the mirror and Like who they see. You can't get it back but you can care for the future.

14 and I'm proud to say I'm not waiting. Sounds slutty to some but I really only have sex when I really like the guy but it's just sex. I don't get it when girls cry "I thought he loved me". Sex and love making are 2 diffrent things...Some people need to GET UP GRIP!
